"You said tomorrow we would work on the dagger. Today is tonight and not yet tomorrow so if you could leave me be until then as I don't see why I would be of any benefit to you now." I say hoping he could just leave me to my thoughts. And alone.
He moves even closer pulling me in by the ends of my shirt.
"Well you could benefit in a few ways in the dark hours of the night." He smirks.
"And you could compel a couple Bourbon Street Blondes to do the same. And it works out for the both of us." I step back and turn to go.
I know we had previously talked about his feelings but my first reaction was to always react cold towards him. I guess anyone would.
"Ah come on love, have a night out with me."
"I was having a good night out before I was captured and had my whole life stolen from me." I call out not stopping.
To my dismay he moved in front of me, His face not showing his usual cocky look. But a look of something else.
"Then tonight lets pretend like there's nothing else going on. No dagger. No vampires. No witches."
"Im being hunted by every person who hates your family Kol, how can I forget that?"
"By partying like a Mikealson." His face wore a grin that didn't look evil. But a normal guy.
He took my hand and we were off. My flashbacks already told me my answers about his family. I grew up with dreams of them. In fact I knew old secrets to this day they all keep from each other. And with that I knew Kol got the short end of a lot.
So from bar to bar we danced and laughed and drank the night away. The city was ours. It was the most fun I had ever had but I knew I was one drink away from being hammered and possibly not remembering it. Kol didn't act like his cocky self that I have known all my life in my dreams.
Though I did already have to much to drink. When we moved to the next bar, the night crossing to 3 am.
But before we could go in I stopped. This was the Bar that I left Chrissy at. When I left, I left my old life behind. No amount of Alcohol could erase that bar.
"We can go to another place." He offers up, realizing my case.
"No I'm okay. One more drink." I say heading in.
"Are you sure love? Maybe you've had enough."
"Enough is never enough in this city." I laughed and the Drinks rolled on.
1. 2. 3 more down.
We had a few hours before daylight left and most of the crowds were starting to get smaller as most of them had to be up for work. The only ones who lingered were the tourists that I hoped did not have an early flight in the morning.
Then suddenly I felt envy for those who got to leave this city when their trip was over.
We stumbled out of the bar and we moved down the streets. I could feel the natural energy that existed here. It was riveting.
We stopped by the river and looked out at the body of water. Pitch black but I could hear the water crashing into the cement wall I stood above.
"Have you ever wished to be human?'' I asked, interrupting the silence we had kept.
He smiles. "Never." he replies
We continued our chats of his past life as we made it back to my room.
"Do vampires even get hangovers?" I laugh as we stumble in.
"Just the fun" Kol replies.
Not a second after that was wasted as my lips crashed to his. It was like being gone for forever and finally coming home.
"Don't stop." I mange to say between kisses.
"I wasn't going to." he replies, his smirk giving me a whole new type of craving I wanted from him.
