Courting Haldir Pt.2

*Your horses arrive in Rivendell where to your surprise you are greeted not only by Lindir (which is kinda to be expected) but by your siblings and more importantly your father. You saw him and hid you dread of having to face him. Haldir gets off of his horse and helps you down. You walk over and trying to win a little favor you hug your dad.(a human hug, in elf hugs you don't touch). He was a little taken aback but returned the hug,(you almost laughed seeing the cringe on Lindir's face) you could practically feel Haldir laughing inwardly.*

Y/N: I missed you adar. *you say as you pull apart*

Elrond: And I you little one. (you were his youngest daughter). I know the reason for your visit, my child. Lady Galadriel told me. *'traitor' you said to yourself luckily no one heard you except Haldir*. I will let the two of you rest and eat and we will discuss what has brought you here. *your father walked away and Arwen just giggled and walked over to you*

Arwen: I see you snagged yourself a marchwarden. *she says almost in a whisper so only you could hear and with a wink walked away*

*you were then greeted by the twins and lastly by your good friend Lindir*

Lindir: Mellon nin, I am glad to see that you are well, it has been years since you have been in Rivendell last. *he turns to Haldir* I just want to thank you for proving most of the ellon and elleth here wrong about Y/N. *you roll your eyes*

Haldir: *looking confused* What do you mean?

Lindir: About 60 percent of the court thinks Y/N could never hold a courter. And here you are traveling all across Middle Earth just to get the blessing of her father. *nodding toward you* She usually scares courters off by being very opinionated and being able to hold her own in a fight. But the fact that that didn't scare you off means that you actually love her and for that I respect and approve of you, for now at least. Now follow me and I'll show you to your rooms.

*you roll your eyes as your best friend leads the way. he's always been sort of like a big brother to you.*

Haldir: *when Lindir is out of earshot* That was interesting, Nin meleth.

Y/N: Might as well get used to it. This is going to be a long visit, I can tell.
