Part 9

Barry's POV

My first night away from her. I love staying over at her house, but i needed to be home at some point. I had a lot to finish up at work, so i got home pretty late, I walked into my house to see Iris sitting on the couch.

"Hey Iris why are you still up?" I asked her

"I waited for you Barry. This is the first time you came home this week. Where have you been every night? And don't say work because Dad has been coming home on time" She says standing up

"Nowhere"

"Barry please tell me"

"Iris what does it matter"

"Because Barry i have been worried sick about you everyday. Who are you with? The people are S.T.A.R labs...Cisco? Caitlin?" She asks raising her voice

"Iris..." I start to say but Iris interrupts me

"Or whoever this mystery girlfriend of your is?"

"What are you talking about?" I ask a bit confused

"Well apparently you left your phone here and it wouldn't stop going off, i thought it was important so i looked to see it was some girl asking if you were coming over tonight" Iris says picking my phone off the coffee table

"You had no right to look through my phone! It's none of your business who i text or spend my time with"

Thank goodness i changed Caitlin's name in my phone, i only did that in case this type of moment happened.

"We are supposed to be bestfriends who tell each other everything. I have been worried sick every night wondering when you are coming home" Iris yells

"I know you care, but you don't need to. And we may be best friends but i don't have to tell you everything. I have better things to do then spend my time here!" I yelled raising my voice towards her

I instantly regret what i said but it was all true. I hear dfootsteps coming down the stairs it must be Joe.

"Why are you two screaming so late?" Joe asks in a surprisingly calm voice

"Barry won't tell me where he has been at night or during the day. He never stays the night here anymore" Iris says

I looked at Joe who realizes why i can't say anything. He had asked me not to tell her about me being the Flash. Even Joe doesn't know that i have been spending every night with Caitlin.

"Iris if Barry doesn't want to tell you where he spends his time he doesn't have to, He's an adult"

"You know what fine. I'm going to sleep" Iris says pushing past both of us and heading upstairs

"Joe I'm sorry. I have been dealing with the whole Wells killing my mother thing, today i had to work late on the case" I explained to him

"Bare, you don't need to explain anything to me. Iris will soon get over it. Now go to sleep we have work in the morning" Joe says as he walks back upstairs

I soon followed but not before grabbing my phone and sending my girlfriend a good night text. I really missed sharing a bed with her, i hope she is alright. I quickly went to sleep hoping the events that happened tonight will just leave.

The next morning...

Caitlin's POV

I couldn't sleep all night, He wasn't with me and it really helps when he is with me. I know his family needs him but i need him to. The warmth of his skin when i wake up next to him every morning...i miss that.
