"So Pete talked to me today," Brendon said as we laid on my bed playing Mario Kart. His head rested on my shoulder and his fluffy hair tickled my neck.

"Oh man, what did he say?" I asked. He probably said something about my outburst in the hallway.

"He said you wanted to– OH FUCK WHAT WAS THAT BLUE TURTLE SHELL" He yelled as he got hit in the game and I laughed.

"Yes!" I exclaimed as I passed into first place. He kicked me slightly as he focused more on the game.

"That was mean, Ry."

"That's the point, forehead." I laughed at the nickname I gave him. He does have a notorious forehead.

The game was over and I finished in second and Brendon in fourth.

"Hey, Ry," Brendon said softly turning to look at me.

"Hm?"

"I was thinking that maybe, don't be mad it's just a suggestion, we could take our relationship to the next level?" He asked. What does he mean 'the next level?' Does he want to get married?!?

"I think we're a little young for marr–" Brendon let out a soft laugh.

"That's not what I meant, Ry," I thought about what he meant until something popped into my mind.

"I don't know, I'm not ready for that, and besides Levitic–" I got interrupted by Brendon who leaned over and placed his lips under my jawbone. I could feel his warm breath.

"What? So you're going to let a thousand year old book control your life? A book that is more than likely inaccurate because of how many times it has been translated?" He argued against my neck.

"I'm just not ready," I stated finally.

"If you would've said that in the first place with out your bible refer–" I cut him off by attaching my lips to his. The way they moved in sync and fit perfectly with mine. With him I forgot about everything.
