Swayam was sitting alone in the dark room, his mind was not functioning properly, his mind was again & again taking him to her memories, their sweet memories, he wanted to forget so much, he still remember how badly broken he was when Sharon rejected him, he wanted to just shout & cry, and just after that he was blamed for Raping her, blamed that in his anger & thrust of revenge he did that to her, he couldn't bear the rejection & humiliation, so for revenge sake he did that even his best friend didn't trust him, even he couldn't trust & understand his unrequited love for her, no matter how much he shouted or pleaded that he is innocent, he didn't do anything wrong with Sharon, heck he wasn't even there when it all happened nobody except the person he let down, the person whom he let go & broke her heart because of his love & best friend, she trusted him & help him proved him innocence & put the true criminal behind the bars after all he did love her, how could he let her culprit roam freely after making sure the guy couldn't get his way out of there after doing that he left the city he had joined dance because of Sharon, because he loved her, he did everything for her only, he needed his little sister more than anything then, how strong their bond was, but he took it for granted, he forget about her, he never stood for her or supported her when the gang went against her, he stayed silently, he watched her broke, he knew about the fake break up plan & supported it because of Sharon but she still supported him in his hard times, was this his love for his sister, how could he face her but he wanted to meet only her then, he asked his dad & directly went to Goa to his little sister. She never blamed him she just welcomed him with a warm smile & big hug. she was there to console him when he cried, she was there to encourage him, she was even making him understand Sharon's pov & how he should be there with her supporting her in this hard times, but he had enough being played around, being blamed & misunderstood, he was always there for her while she was not. so this time he decided to be there for her as she was always there while he was not, her words spoke in teasing way had more deeper impact on him now that in front of Sharon, he is unable to see anyone, he had swore that day he would be always there for her & not let her heart break ever again, not ever but now after publicly declaring his relationship with Anika his heart is in turmoil, one side there is his unrequited love for Sharon which seems never ending on the other side there is his love for Anika, his best friend whom he promised to always be there for her. he just don't understand his heart anymore but one thing is sure to him, he will never leave Anika's side,not till his dying breath. he didn't miss the many assassination attempts on Anika & Tanish today which were handled efficiently by Rv & his team. he will be there for them, protecting them, till his end, after all he promised her that.
Swayam came out of his pov by a hand kept on his shoulder
"didn't sleep till now" a soft voice asked him as she settled beside him on the long sofa, wrapping her hands around his chest in a warm hug filled with comfort
"wht about you" he asked her bacj
"can't sleep" come her short reply as she rested her chin on his shoulder
"me too" he replied looking ahead at nothing
"you know you didn't need to declare that in the party tonight?" she asked him her voice sounding so low, so uncertain afraid to hear his answer
"and watch your reputation being trashed, I rather not thank you very much" he told her his temper flaring up at the mention of today's incident
"but what about your reputation, the people are thinking Tanish is your child, thinking you're a playboy, jerk, billionaire, who plays with others feelings" she asked him her voice filled with rage, guilt & agony
"well, you see I'm habitual of getting accused for nothing, you know I've been accused for worse than this & my this declaration won't harm our business on the other hand our stock prices just raised a little bit more, can you believe it everyone in our office was already sure that you are going to be mine wife, they always thought we had something going on, how funny is that" he asked her with his voice filled with disbelief
"yups, I heard them calling me Mrs President some times you know & with the amount of rights & advantages & relaxation you gave me, I don't think this is the topic to be so surprised about" she told him finally relaxing a little watching him not regret his decision about marrying her
"you know my family is really happy about this marriage, dad is on seventh heaven he always wanted you as his daughter-in-law, totally impressed by your work ethics & my mom she has long ago accepted Tanish as his grandson maybe since the first time he called me Dad in front of her, you should have heard her ranting about destination wedding & too much work on the call, god she even scolded me for not telling her before hand, I totally don't envy the poor fellow who will get the assignment of being our wedding planer " he ranted to her, relaxing in her embrace easily
"what about you Swayam, what do you think about all this??" she asked him hesitancy lacing her words
"well, I think it's time for fulfilling my promise to little Ansh & really becoming his daddy, let's do this for our boy" he told her, his eyes held a promise and determination
"for our boy, you know he is becoming so much like you" she told him in an accusing voice
"well, that's great isn't it, he is going to be like me then after all I'm definition of greatness" he told her cockily
"well, I'll be more happy if he don't get as big headed as you" she told him teasingly
And the mood around them lighten instantly, he will never burden her with his fears he will always shield her & protect her but he will let her fight her own battles & help from sidelines, he will let her make her own decisions & never force his own her, that's his promise to her for a lifetime. No harm will ever befall on any of them, not until he is alive anyway.
