A/n: Pragmatophobia is the fear of Reality

People thought you were dead.

There was no avoiding that as you stepped into the door of your apartment. All you saw and heard through your dizzy, unslept state was a plate crashing to the ground, and your mum yelling your name. Unfortunately, you didn't get to return her yelling with a smile as you were already collapsed on the floor unconscious.

For the next twelve hours you were asleep on the sofa, since that was the nearest thing your mum could lift and put you on to sleep comfortably. It wasn't until you awoke that you fully registered what had happened, and that resulted in it slapping you hard in the face. And you having a small breakdown, which also resulted in your mum, who had spent every moment watching over you but eventually collapsed in your room to sleep, waking in a blind panic

"Y/N? Hun, what happened?" She yelled, stumbling into the living room with tired eyes. You look up at her, your eyes glassed over with tears and your hair up in a messy ponytail and open your mouth to speak. You wanted to tell her everything that happened, you wanted to just let everything out in a rush. You just wanted to be held by your mum for a while.

It clicked after a moment that if you did tell her what had happened, and where you had been, you would never get to see the animatronics again. Although they had just spent the last six hours trying to rip your insides out. You knew it wasn't them, that it was Aiden and Vincent who had been in on it.

So, instead of blurting it all out you just smiled slightly and said "Just a nightmare...Sorry for waking you"

Your mum sighed with relief and sat down next to you, pulling you into a strong hug

"Where did you go, Y/n?" She asks with furrowed eyebrows, pulling you close

"I don't honestly know" You respond truthfully "All I remember was a cold space and...Being tied up for a long time. Whoever was there forgot to tie me one night and I escaped"

You knew your story was a tad lame, and that if you were taken to talk to an officer they'd probably see through your lie. But what could you say?

Oh right, I was kidnapped by an insane purple guy and an old acquaintance who then sent animatronics, who by the way have dead kids spirits in them, after me to commit my murder

The more you thought about it the more you realised how ridiculous the situation was. No one would believe you if you told them anyway. No one but the girls at Freddys, probably

"Did you see what they looked like?" Your mum pressed. You shook your head, before leaning onto her

"They blindfolded me when I was walking to my car and then I woke up in the dark" You felt bad lying, but there wasn't much else you could do. Your mum eventually dropped the subject after many other questions, which she only received fairly blunt answers for.

"I'm going" You snap, ignoring your mums constant complaints about your decision

"You just got kidnapped from that place and you want to go back?" She asks, shaking her head "I'm not standing for that"

"Well it's a good thing it's not your choice" You grab your work uniform, pulling on the top with a sigh "I know you're worried, but I want to go"

"Hon, I know I haven't been the best mother recently-"

"That's an understatement, mum"

"BUT, I'm trying. It's better late than never, darling. Anyway, I know now that that place is trouble. You're not going back there" She pushes, stepping towards you
