"Are you sure I should go in this?" I asked my sister. She quickly shook her head. It was a simple black dress. I didn't want to be seen by everyone, really by no one. I just wanted to go to see how everyone was doing.

"Lemme pick you somethin." She said. She was a few years younger than me but she has the best fashion sense in the family.

I went to my vanity and began picking with my curly hair. I decided to leave it how it was. I turned towards her. She had a whole outfit in her hands.

"Cute and casual." She placed the striped off the shoulder top on my queen sized bed then the white jeans. "Which one? Sandals or heels?" She held up the two shoes.

"Sandals." I looked down at my freshly pedicured toes. She smiled and placed the sandals on the bed.

"Alright, now makeup." She stood behind me while staring at me in the vanity. "Just a little highlight." She went through my bag and put the golden highlight on my nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin.

"Thanks sis." I kissed her cheek, leaving clear lipgloss on it. I quickly took the dress of and changed into the outfit. It looked a lot better than the simple dress.

"You look so pretty!" She took a few pictures of me and I waved her off. I grabbed my silver clutch and walked towards the door.

"Be back later." I closed it then dug my keys out of my clutch. I quickly got inside my blue car and drove to my old high school.

Cars were everywhere. It looked packed. I took a deep breath then walked inside. I saw everyone I spent my high school years with. From Aaron to Zion.

I stood by the drinks table, pouring me a glass of the red liquid into a red cup. Most likely Koolaid but whatever.

I moved but I was about to run into someone so I quickly stopped. "Whoaaa, Sean?"

He looked so...grown up. Full beard, full head of hair. He looked very nice. Very different from when we were dating.

"Damn, I haven't seen you in years." He looked down at me and licked his lips.

"Baby, who's this?" A girl came from behind him and smiled at me.

"Just an old friend baby." He smiled at her then gave me a weak smile. "See you around?"

"I doubt it." I said while walking past him and out the door. I don't know what I was expecting. I guess I wanted us to pick up where we left off, but this is the real world. Shit doesn't just go my way. I got in my car and sighed.

I need a drink.
