Jack
Jack was walking along the roof tops of Amsterdam when he heard the noise. It was a soft sound, foot steps on concrete. He looked over the side of the roof he was standing one and saw a girl.
Her blond hair fell in loose waves down her back and her steps were light and her arms swung with a leisure he could never remember
He felt a sudden pang in his chest when she looked up.
Not her.
He started, Where did that thought come from?
He gave one last look at the girl's disappearing form and flew up to a window. He sat down and brought the tip of his staff to the window.
He allowed it to spread, not really focusing, smiling a little at the image that formed— a rabbit.
He felt completely and utterly alone, as though a part of his soul was missing.
I can't meet you now, but I will soon— promise.
