Morgan's POV

Light snow flakes fall from the dark clouds in the grey sky. Lights are everywhere to be seen. Not one spot of Boston is not filled with colorful lights. Children play in the inches of snow that have fallen over the past week.

I walk into my house and get hit with warm air. The smell of pine and cookies filling the air. I got home from a long day of school. But it was the last. Today I officially start winter break.

I take off my jacket and scarf and hang them on the wooden hooks. I take off my boots and lay them at the door to dry.

I walk into the kitchen and see my mom making chocolate chip cookies. "Hey sweetie. How was school?" She asks. "Good." I say sitting down at the island. My mom puts a plate of fresh baked cookies in front of me. "What are the cookies for?" I ask.

Just then I hear the door open followed by footsteps. Seconds later my brother comes in the kitchen. "Home for my winter break." Luke says smiling at us. "Oh Luke it's been way too long." Mom says hugging him.

Luke sits down next to me. "Oo cookies." He says picking one up and taking a bite out of it. "How's college so far?" I ask. "Really great actually. Its really different from high school." He says. "Cause of the parties?" I ask.

Moms eyes dart to Luke wanting to know what he'll say. "Um no. I actually don't go to many. I only have been to two or three but that was on Saturday nights." Luke says. "Sure..." I say rolling my eyes and picking up a cookie.

"So guys. I have some exciting news!" Mom says cheerfully. "What is it?" I ask eating my cookie. "Well since last year was so much fun... Karen and Manny invited us to stay at their house for Christmas and New Years again!" Mom says.

"Really!?" I ask. "Yes!" She says. "I'm so in! Yes I get to see Aaliyah." I say. "Um what about Shawn?" Mom asks. "Oh ya him too." I say shoving the rest of my cookie in my mouth. She laughs.

"Um actually mom. I was hoping we would stay here." Luke says. "Why is that? You had fun last year too." She says. "Yes but last year I didn't have a girlfriend. And I haven't seen Serena in forever. We were hoping to hangout this whole break." Luke says.

"I get that. I won't not let you guys see each other. So Christmas isn't till next week. So we can stay here this whole week and Luke, you can see Serena as much as you'd like." Mom says.

"But mom. That gives me less time with Aaliyah and Shawn. And our relationships are more long distance than Luke and Serena's. I haven't seen them in a longer time than Luke seen Serena." I say.

"You're so selfish Morgan. Why can't you just let me be with my girlfriend for one week. I don't even wanna go to Canada so you're lucky I'm going for you." Luke says.

"If you don't wanna go then don't go. And don't call me selfish. Your girlfriend isn't a fricking celebrity who all their time goes to music and touring and fans. You can see Serena the whole summer while Shawn will be busy and I'm almost positive I won't be able to see him. So don't even think about calling me selfish." I say. "I'll go to Canada by myself if I have to." I get up and speed walk up stairs to my room, closing and locking the door behind me.

I lay on my bed staring at my ceiling just thinking.

I don't know how Luke can call me selfish. I'm not. Serena isn't a big time celebrity. Her life doesn't revolve around tour, fans, music, interviews, and performances. I might have to tour in the summer and the same with Shawn. While Luke and Serena can see each other all they want the whole summer because they don't tour. They have a less frustrating long distance relationship then Shawn and I. Ugh. He makes me so mad sometimes.
