Blake's POV

I was starting to get cold.

I cuddled to the closest thing next to me.

I felt someone licking my face.

"Artemis stop it." I smiled.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Midnight licking my face.

I groaned.

Aw, Dang it!

Stupid dog.

Gavin kept laughing at me.

I put Midnight back onto the floor and wiped all the dog drool off my face.

I always thought that when you woke up next to your mate they would look beautiful.

I was so wrong.

Artemis had a large bed head and was taking up half the bed. She was snoring a bit and there was drool on the side of her cheek.

She still looks adorable.

'You're whipped.' Gavin pointed out.

'You're not?'

I sat up when Artemis jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom.

I tried getting in but it was locked. I heard retching and groaning.

I knocked on the door. "Baby, are you ok?"

The door opened. "I'm sick and I'm on my period. The worst combination. I'm going to take a shower." She went back into the bathroom.

I'll surprise her. Since she's in pain I'll make it better.

I went downstairs and started to make her breakfast. I also put food in Midnight's bowl.

Yes, I know how to cook.

I put one bacon on the pan.

"Bacon!" I turned around and saw Artemis sniffing the air. "Gimme gimme gimme."

"Aw. You ruined my surprise." I groaned.

"When I comes to chocolate and bacon, I'm a blood hound." She took a piece of bacon from the plate.

I hugged her from behind. Sparks were everywhere. "How are you feeling?"

"Like the next time I blow chunks it's going to be all over you if you don't let me go." She threatened but I kept my hold on her.

"I'll risk it."

She hunched over a bit, her face paled, she started retching.

I let her go and backed away. She started laughing.

"'Risk it' my ass." She said in between laughs.

I pouted. "Just eat your breakfast."

She started eating. The rest of the day we just watched movies on the couch.

She's not throwing up anymore. It's just a fever.

She's been saying weird things but that's only her fever talking.

She even told me stories about when she was hunting rogues in other places.

I was kinda hoping it was her when she called me cute.

But hey, a guy can dream.

I was eating popcorn when Artemis put her arms around my waist.

I wasn't complaining but it was weird because it wasn't like her to do something like that.
