Artemis's POV

I woke up to the sound of a TV.

My fever is still here.

I got up and went downstairs. Iesha was on the couch flipping through channels.

"What time did you wake up?" I asked.

"I couldn't sleep." She answered.

"Do you want something to eat?"

"No I'm good."

I nodded and went to the kitchen. She's been acting strange lately.

I started to make some pancakes because, why not?

I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. I turned around and saw Justin.

I put a pancake on a plate and handed it to him.

I took it happily and started eating.

"Is there something wrong with Iesha? She's been a little distant."

He sighed and out his food down. "She met her mate yesterday before we saw you."

"Oh no!" I paused. "Wait, isn't that a good thing thing that she met her mate."

He shook his head. "He rejected her."

My whole body filled with anger. "Tell me his name and I'll put an arrow through him."

"No. Iesha doesn't want to talk about him and she told me not to tell you. Don't do anything." He pleaded.

"Fine. I won't mention anything to her but the moment I see him my arrow is going in his ear and out his eye."

"I'll let you do that but we need something to take her mind off him."

An idea popped up in my head. "I have an idea but we have to wait until sunset."

"Why?"

"You'll see." I smirked.

"You have a look in your eye that scares me."

"I have that effect." I handed him a plate with a pancake on it. "Take this to her. She said she's not hungry but I do t believe her."

He took the plate from me and went to the living room.

I felt my body heating up. I took a thermometer and put it under my tongue. I left it here for a few seconds then took it out.

I hope this goes away soon.

Maybe I just need a cold shower. I turned off the stove and went upstairs.

After my shower and brushing my teeth and went downstairs.

Iesha was in the kitchen and Justin was in the living room.

There's still a few hours till dark.

"Hey, Iesha do you want to go do something or go out?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "I'm good. I don't want to do anything today."

"Well how about I order pizza and we can watch some movies." I suggested.

She nodded. "Sounds good." She went into then living room.

I took out my phone and ordered large pepperoni and three meat pizzas.

They got here in 20 minutes. Justin opened the door before I did.

The pizza man inhaled deeply. "Mate." He muttered.
