"a fake therian?" i hear you cry. oh yes, there are plenty of people who claim to be kin with animals to feel special or get attention, or "wolfaboos", and here are some ways to spot them.
one:
they usually claim their theriotype is a fox or a wolf. generally a wolf.
this does not mean that every wolf or fox therian is a wolfaboo
two:
they say they have found their 'therian name' using pencil meditation or some other bullshit and it's something like Luna or Sapphire or Lady Alessandra
there is no such thing as therian names. animals don't have names unless they're some animal such as a domestic dog or cat, and even then the animal wouldn't care.
however, you may nickname your theriotype instead of saying 'my theriotype' all the time. this is different and completely fine.
three:
they say things like "my wolf wants a mate" and "I'm the alpha of the pack"
first of all, you are your theriotype and it's not "yours", you are one and the same.
second, sniff snoff, is that bullshit I smell? because wolves don't have ranks in their packs like alpha and beta
four:
they generally say their theriotype either is pure black, pure white or has blue eyes. or, heaven forbid, a combination of those.
wolf genetics, people. wolf genetics.
