Up at the top is Ember.
Hi Smiles [if you read my story this is what you are called.] this is my first story so don't too judgemental. Also there will be some cussing here and there. I warned you, any ways to the story.

I absolutely hate running. Whether I am running to my car, to class, from class, I hate it. But I keep doing it. I am running, don't know what to but, I know what I am running from.
I am running from my mistakes, my bullies, my 'past'. My dad is following his career, my mom is following my dad, I am, hopefully, running to a better future.
When I was younger I had wanted something no other kid has wanted. I wanted to find a stable home, not have to move around for my parents work, most kids want to travel, explore, discover something new. I just want to find a place called home, where I can be free. I may be free to some people, But really I am trapped within myself. I want a normal life. It isn't likely to happen anytime soon though.
I want to run away from my problems, but each time we move they followed me and become worse. I ran away from my bullies, only to find new ones. I changed everything, my style, my hair, my attitude, but it all still managed to catch up. I felt like I was suffocating because of my problems, like I couldn't get enough air in my lungs to scream out 'HELP!' I hope this time will be different.
As my song buffers I hear my dad scream at me, "Ember!" he must've been trying to get my attention for a long time, he isn't one to raise his voice, "Yeah dad?"
"We are here." just as he said that I looked out the window. Ever see that movie Spiderwick Chronicles? This house looks just like it, hidden deep in the forest and covered in that gross, mossy stuff.
"Wow, looks really nice, do the monsters help pay rent?" I reply sarcastically, "I mean if they don't I'm not gonna be the one to kick them out, I'm to young to die."
That is when my mom turns around, I look just like a younger version of my mom, except her hair the brown color mine originally was, "Ember stop that, sure it is a fixer upper but once we hose it off it will be perfectly fine, it was a good price and the school district is great." my mom elbows my dad in the stomach to try to get his help, "Um, what your mother said Ember, Plus I am sure your mother could scare the monsters out easily." my dad stated trying to hold in a laugh, apparently he had heard my monster statement after all, I was amused but Mom was not, she delivered another blow to Dads gut.
"The boxes are already in the house and they are in the room that suits them the most." My mom is an interior designer so she is very picky about where everything goes, "Your room is at the top of the steps first door to the right."
"Okay see you guys inside." and with that I exit the car and head up to my new room. Since I have moved so many times I have learned how my room looks best and set it all up within two hours.
"Sweetheart, how about you go introduce yourself to the neighbors? They looked around your age, maybe you can make some new friends?" Mom looked at me questioningly, but I knew the drill, we would pick up and leave within the next year, I can't afford to make friends then leave them behind. "Sure, you got one of those fruit baskets that say 'HI we're new, hope we don't become a pain in your ass.'"
Mom playfully scowled at me, "Ember Payne, watch your language, and yes I do, on the island in the kitchen.
I grabbed the basket and was on my merry way.
