Chapter 18

(1 year later)
*Jewel POV*
Well today is the wedding. We wanted to wait till Amulya was older and could be a part of the wedding more. Luke and Courtney had their son not so long ago. And Kelsey and Caleb just had a girl a week ago. They named her Melissa Jeanne. Oh yeah the name of Luke and Courtney's son is Leo Oliver. Right now the wedding is just about to start. I'm waiting to walk down the isle. I really couldn't decide who to walk me down the isle cause all the guys have been there for me but I went with Luke cause he was a big support for both me and Joey.
"You ready love" Luke asks
"Yeah" I say
I link arms with him and we start walking. As we get closer I see Joey try to hide that he was crying and I smile softly at him. Chad, who he decided he needed to stand next to Joey, clamped a reassuring hand on his shoulder. We get to the front and Luke kisses my forehead then bro hugs Joey. He stands behind his brother and the pastor continues. Eventually he finishes and grants the approval for us to kiss. We lean in and Joey plants his lips on mine. We pull away a bit later only to Amulya saying ew. Joey picks him up and holds him on his hip. With his other hand he counts down from three then we each kiss one of his cheeks. He then swipes at his cheeks.
"Why are you wiping the kisses off" I ask
"Because. They yucky" he says
"Oh so you don't want kisses" Joey asks
After that he proceeds to kiss his face and arms as Amulya just laughs. Eventually Joey stops and everyone else laughs too.
"Mr. Joey married" Jude says
"Yeah" Joey says wrapping his arm around my waist.
Jude runs over and hugs his leg. The others run over and do the same. He just laughs and hugs them back.
"We love you" Presley says
"Love you too kiddies" he says
"Awe how sweet. Now let's go party" Donnie says
"Party" Phoenix yells
We do pictures quickly then go to where we are having the reception.
"Alright so we're switching things up and having father daughter dance first" Chad says into a mic
Luke walks over to me and holds his hand out. I grab hold of it and we go to the center of the dance floor. After a while he's replaced by Joel.
*Joey POV*
I sit there and watch as Jewel dances with Luke and Joel. I feel a pull on my pants leg. I look down and see Amulya. I pick him up and sit him on my lap.
"Now for the mother son dance" Chad says
Fallon walks over and stands there. I smile at her slightly and stand up. I set Amulya down and Fallon and I go out to the dance floor.
"Thank you for doing this Fallon" I say
"No problem. I know since your mom died I've been like a mother to you and I intend to keep it that way" she says
"And I appreciate it I really do" I say
We finish and I kiss Fallon's cheek. I go over to the table and sit down next to Jewel.
"Time for speeches" Mr. Smallbone says
"Maid of honor, best man, and Chad" Alan says
"Um Joey you never chose a best man" Jewel whispers
"I know. I don't know what's going to happen" I say
Courtney goes up to the stage and takes the mic from Alan. After her speech the lights go off and a screen goes down. My parents appear on the screen.
"Joey if you are watching this it means it's your wedding day and we're not around anymore. Your dad and I love you and your brothers lots and I'm sure we love your wife as well. Take good care of her. Love you son" my mom says
"Joseph we're sorry that we left you. We probably had no control over it. You probably blamed yourself but it's not your fault. I'm sure everyone tells you that though. I'm proud of you son. Always was always will be" My Dad says
They disappear then Kenny appears.
"Mom and Dad told me and Donny we should each do one. You know since we all live apart. They aren't sure if we'll still be around when you get yourself a girl. If you do. I mean most girls fall and worship the ground you walk on but I know you bro. You won't fall for just any girl. You like those with a rough past. You want to be able to help them. You'd want to be able to relate to them. You would see past all their outside beauty and focus on their personality, love for God, and every other detail about them. Love you little bro. Don't be a pain" he says
The screen goes up and the lights turn on. I wipe my tears away. And smirk.
"Donny where's yours" I ask
"I'm alive why do you need to see it" he ask
"Best man speech. You're my best man. And I want to see what you said in the video" I say
He sighs and the screen comes  back down and the lights turn off Donny's face then appears.
"Hey Broseph. Little bro, joe bro. How are you? It's your wedding day. You finally did it. You finally found a girl that would put up with you and your weird family. How'd you do that? Anyway congrats. Now peace" he says
I just laugh and pat him on the back.
"That was great" I say
"Oh zip it broseph" he says
"Alright alright. Settle down. It's my turn" Chad says
"Chad sweetheart not a long one" Fallon says
"Wait why does Chad get to say a speech" I ask
"Yeah. Why Chad" Jewel asks
"Love you both too" Chad says
"He gave me $20" Spencer says
"Gave me and Caleb both $10" Alan says
"Wait why did he get more" Caleb asks pointing to Spencer
"He said he needed more money so he could buy doughnuts" Chad says
Steph looks at Spencer and slaps him upside the head. I laugh and Spencer glares at me.
"Alright now. Joseph here I have known since he was 16. His parents died and Fallon and I took him in. He's been through a lot and never really smiled. But as soon as he met Jewel I knew she was the one. There was a sparkle in his eye and he smiled a lot more. So Jewel don't hurt him. And Joey, Jewels been through a lot as well. So don't hurt her. If you do we'll be having wrestling matches again and this time not for fun" he says
He finishes and sits down across from me.
"That's was the worst speech ever" I say
"No. Donny's was worse" Jewel says
"True" I say
"Oh whatever" Donny says
"Jewel Joey it's time to share your first dance" Caleb says
"What song did you choose" Jewel asks
"It's a surprise" I say
We go out on the dance floor and the song, proof of your love, comes on. I spin her around then we start swaying back and forth to the music.
"I want everything that I've done and will do for you to be proof that I love you proof the God is with us and that he loves us." I say
"I love you Joseph Patrick" she says
"Love you too Jewel Patrick" I say
"Mommy. Daddy" we hear
We turn around and see Mulya. I pick him up and hold him on my hip and continue dancing.
"Patrick isn't my real last name" I say
"I know" she says
"It's just that I needed to go by and different one because my real one brought back to many bad memories." I say
"It's alright" she says
After awhile we do cake then our friends leave. We all clean up then head home. I put Amulya to bed then go up to mine and Jewels room. I go in and see she already asleep. I climb in next to her and fall asleep as well.

So I'm planning on ending this book next chapter. So I hope you have enjoyed this book and make sure to read my other books. Also I know that I haven't done a lot of updating and I'm sorry but now it's gonna be a lot longer cause school is starting and marching band will be in full swing.
