Rowan's POV

Trying to find out the now new leader of the site has been a nightmare. Jake constantly watching over you because he's protecting is tiring. And having Brandon back on the same side as you, seeing him almost everyday is just confusing and I don't know how to feel

There have been a few times where I just caught him staring at me. But I didn't say anything or complain because he caught me staring at him before. I can't help it. It's like I'm pissed off at him but my feelings are still there.

I'm sitting on my couch watching a documentary of some shit when someone knocks on my door

I peek out the side of the window and see Brandon Darrow. Why is he here?!

I open the door slowly

"What are you doing here?" I ask him

"I know I'm the last person you would want to see right now. But I know you had a stressful day, your dad isn't home at night and I wanted to keep you company... I brought takeout" he says as he lifts the bag of McDonald's

I laugh and let him in

"Documentary?" He asks

"Yes maybe you've never heard of it before" I tell him

"Mhm. I'm just saying you should watch something fun" he says

"I bet whatever you tell me to watch I won't like" I say as I roll my eyes

"Hmm okay guardians of the galaxy" he says

"Well..." he says again as I'm silent

"Forget the bet" as I stand up and grab the guardians of the galaxy DVD

"AHH so Rowan fricks is a marvel fan" he says as he applauses himself "I should have known" he laughs

"Oh laugh it off" I say as I sit down next to him and grab a burger out

The next 2 hours were spent with me arguing with him that Chris Pratt is indeed hot, shoving our faces, and laughing.

Distraction. But a good distraction

Remember when Jake said he went away to learn how to protect rowan? To keep her safe? First off, I respect jake because he didn't do anything wrong so I was like aw that's nice like I just didn't care. BUT AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS LIKE "why do you seem to care more about Rowan then Elisia" JUST ME? LIKE OBVIOUSLY HE CARES ABOUT ELISIA BUT IDK I WAS HMM
