Dan was wheeled out the room again, knocked out on drugs that will keep him calm and asleep. Dans condition was delicate, making the doctors pray for this surgery to go well. He looked half dead on that hospital bed, some doctors preparing for the worst, his lining so badly damaged that it was starting to get more dangerous to not clean it up. Alex held Phil softly as they waited, softly speaking and shushing Phil

"Do you think he'll be okay?" Phil said shaking as he held Alex tightly, his heart pounding at the thought of loosing Dan, his mind rushing and he just wanted it to stop, he wanted to be cuddled in bed with Alex, or having domestic arguments with Dan.

"He will." Alex said gently but he wasn't too sure. Dan was finally wheeled back into the ICU in a few hours but he wasn't allowed any visitors, the doctor headed towards the sick looking Phil before smiling sympathetically "He looks worse than he is. As you notice he has becomes rather thin and pale, his bones have also begun to show through due to the food not being able to digest. We've decided it was best to put him in a medically induced coma so his body could heal. Dan's situation is delicate but mostly stable." The Doctor felt an alert on his belt as he rushed off to another patient

"I don't know how to feel Alex, I want to be as far away as him as possible but there's more of me that needs to hold him and remind him how damn well much he means to me and how he better not give up." Phil said getting angry "I just wish he wasn't so fucking stupid to fucking drink himself to halfway death? I don't understand how he even went that far he could hardly stand getting a cough let alone this." Phil began pacing, holding his hair as he walked back and forth, Alex helplessly sitting on a chair

"If he's causing you so much heart ache then why not just leave him? Sometimes it's okay to move on. I mean, he clearly had no intention of getting back to you." Alex shrugged and he watched Dan laying in the ICU.

"W-what no that's crazy, Dan would back for me and I'm sure he would have done the same for me." Phil said with confidence, but something in Alex's words struck his head "wouldn't he?" Phil asked aloud but to himself

"I don't know, Phil. Dan doesn't seem like that nice of a person that you seem to think he is." Alex shrugged and he looked up at Phil with a concerned eyes.

"He made me my favourite foods for weeks on end and he did everything he could to please me for months, I don't understand why he did it but he did and I got mad at him for it I'm the bad guy." Phil said trying to convince Alex

"I don't know, Phil. I don't know what to say. I feel like you should talk to him yourself. Maybe it is best you guys stay away, maybe it's not. That's up to you and him." Alex said, not really wanting Phil to go back to Dan.

"Maybe he needs a few days to himself, I mean I have been here everyday so far since he's been emitted." Phil said thinking aloud

"Yeah, maybe he does." Alex shrugged, after then next couple of days, Dan was wheeled back into a normal hospital room and doctors were trying to pull him out of the coma since he was doing a lot better. He woke up at night. There was one nurse, half asleep on the sofa when Dan groaned to get her attention. He didn't know what was happening. Everything was hard and he felt like his head was filled with cotton balls. He tried to say the word 'Phil' but his throat was so raw. He whined softly as the nurse came to check on him. He blinked at her and fell asleep again. Then, he woke up again the next day. This time, Phil was sitting next to his bed. Dan groaned as he felt someone holding his hand and tried his best to squeeze their hand.

"Dan hon, are you okay?" Phil asked pointlessly to Dan, allowing him to squeeze his hand, "Its okay." Phil said softly and he ran his thumb gently over the top of Dans hand
