Lotor x Reader || All I Ever Needed

Prologue

This part will explain some relationships and a bit of how you met the Paladins, and what you think of Lotor for now. Enjoy~

Everything went down normal in your life.
Well, for an alien hybrid's life.

You were a Galra Hybrid, half Altean, half Galra. Those kinds were very rare. And you belived that you are the last one of this kind.
And you worked together with the Paladins. Team Voltron. Even if you were part Galra, they accepted you with the time. This time not Allura was the one to win the respect from, it was Keith. He didn't trust you. You were part Altean, but he just couldn't get a like of you. But you didn't bother, you still treated him like a brother, since you never had one.

You still remember the day when you joined them like it was yesterday.
After you ran away from the Galra, you had been traveling through the galaxy for years. Until one day, you arrived on a planet that was finally peaceful, Aeris. The inhabitants of the planet had been kind to you, and you helped them in return. But one afternoon, a strange ship landed on Aeris. It looked like a lion. You were curious what this could be, thus you checked it out. And you found a castle! How did you not notice that all this time?
Your curiosity was too big, that's why you hooded yourself and went inside. But to your bad, you were caught. And they put you into a cell, trying to get information from you, which you didn't have. But they kept throwing questions at you anyways.

Days passed after that, and the only one who grew to like and trust you that quick was Lance. But he loved girls, and loved to flirt with them, so it was just a matter if time when this would happen. The thing was, that you loved his puns and the way he flirted with you. It was funny and cute to you. The boy is very naive and thought you had an interest in him, you didn't think of him that way. He is just your best friend. And yet, still some of the group think you're a couple. Unbelievable.

Time passed by very quickly and you had gained the trust of them all very quickly. Except Keith, of course. You would help out in small missions, give advise or tell them your ideas for plans. But you weren't allowed to go on real missions, not yet.

The one you looked up to was Shiro. He was a great leader, and so brave. He would do anything to make others feel better, to put their own good above his'. You admired good leaders, since Zarkon didn't really deserve the right to be called leader. He was just a power-thirsty monster.
The next one you looked up to was Allura. You wished so much to be like her, brave and strong, a graceful leader. And she was like a big sister to you. She had been very curious about you since she wanted to know if you had information about Altea or any Other Alteans, but you did not. And still, she was amazed by your species, by your kind of combination.

Pidge was someone you could talk to every time. She was so kind, and helped you if you didn't know what to do. You both missed your families and wanted them back, and you had a few other things in common. And you were the only one to listen to her technical speeches and stuff, you understood it and were amazed by how much a human like her knew about alien technology.
Hunk was the one you could talk about your feelings with. He would give you advise, and cook with you after that to cheer you up. You loved his cooking, and doing it together with him was fun! He's very kind and you could literally eat his delicious food all day.
With Coran, you could talk about things that had to do something with Altea or the Galaxy in general. He knew a lot, and you went to him if you wanted to know more about a planet or a species. He was pretty funny as well. His personality and accent could make you laugh a lot at times.

And then there was Keith.
You tried everything to get him to at least respect and accept you. But nothing had worked! You had been kind to him, helped him, even gave him a gift and a nickname. But it seems he doesn't like to be called 'Strawberry'. Well, at least Lance likes to be called 'Blueberry'. But the red Paladin just gave you judging looks all the time and ignored you if you tried to help. Did you do something wrong? It might be that he thinks you're still a traitor. Or he was jealous that Allura accepted you with being part Galra, but not him at first. You didn't know. But you would keep trying to make him a friend. Whatever he did, he still was like a brother to you.

So many things had happened. And after you all had defeated Zarkon, you had hope for a Galaxy without warning and a normal life. But then Shiro had disappeared. This had hit you just as hard as Keith. That was the time where he was the most friendly to you of all this time, because you two had finally something in common, apart from the being part Galra thing.
But as Shiro returned again, you two immediately were back to normal again. Because you could feel that something wasn't right with Shiro. He wasn't himself. And the thing with his lion was fishy as well. Something was off. He wasn't himself. That wasn't Shiro. But you didn't want to say anything, or everyone would think you're insane or something. Thus you kept quiet, keeping the thought of the Galra being behind this in your head as your own secret.

Everything seemed pretty positive and peaceful until this Prince Lotor arrived.

Ah, Prince Lotor.

That spoiled, exiled spawn of Zarkon. He was just same as his father in your eyes, just a little more wicked and literally the pure devil with his tactics. And you despised him with all your heart, you hated him with every inch of your body. This guy made your hope for a better life sink again. And you swore to yourself that you will twist the head of this guy yourself, with your bare hands. He appeared, and everything became worse than before. Everything broke. Team Voltron had grown like a family to you, and this supercilious brat of a Prince tore everything apart again.
Yes, he definitely changed your life forever...
