Chapter Three || A change of mind

I'm sorry that this took so long but ngh fuck school aaaa season 4 gave me so many new ideas so I had to continue this so uh here have it haha

You didn't know for how long you had been in this room. Some vargas, maybe? It sure felt like it, but you weren't sure. But within this time, there sure had something strange happened to you and everything around you.

The Prince - Lotor - had been talking about lot now. Something about Voltron, and about his group, his intentions. That's what made you listen up exactly.

He had started his talk with a simple fact. You could escape any time. You really could, and he wouldn't stop you. It was your choice to whether stay or leave. But he wanted you to listen to him before you made any decisions. The next thing was, that he offered you a place within his ranks. You raised your eyebrow at that. Why should you team up with your enemy? This was going to be very strange. But there was something more to come.

Next part, he started the topic that made you widen your eyes. He said that he wanted to change the empire. Change it to the better. Form allies rather than forcing anyone to team up with him. He wanted to be a accepted leader known everywhere, he wanted to be better than his father. Wanted to make more peace, not war. And he even had thought about forming an Ally with Voltron. Could he be serious? If yes, you couldn't believe your ears. Would he finally be the leader you always wanted for your race? Could you finally see your father again? Would he do good to the galaxy just as he promised? He seemed very convincing. And it didn't seem like he lied. You also didn't see any reason why he should lie about this towards you, you didn't seem very useful anyways. Well, that's what you thought.

Little did you know that he was lying at some parts.

But the most important thing was: he changed the way you looked at him. He changed your way of thinking. He gave you hope, hope that you all together could finally end this war. And he of course offered you a place in his ranks. Should you accept this offer? Should you trust him? You weren't sure. Your mind was thinking about so many things right now. What would his plans be? When and how would he even team up with Voltron? You wanted to know now, but you might find out soon enough.

You were pulled out of your thoughts by Lotor's interrupting voice and his hand reaching towards you.

"Well, dear, what do you say?"

Your eyes went to look up at him. What were you gonna say now? This might be a chance you are never gonna get ever again in your while life. You had to take it. You had to risk things at some points. For peace, for the universe, for everyone.

Having a serious look on your face, your hand reached towards his extended hand to shake it. "I'm with you, Prince Lotor." A slight grin appeared on your lips. This oddly felt very right.

The man just grinned right back at you, shaking your hand in response as well. "Very good choice, my dear." Pulling his hand back to his body, he straightened himself. "Acxa, would you be so kind and give your new comrade a fitting choice of armor?" He turned towards the blue-skinned female. Her eyes widened a little in surprise, and she huffed. "Of course, sir.." Wow, she didn't seem to be very pleased with this.

"Thank you. Lead her to her quarters as well, please. The girl needs a place to stay at at night after all, too." He added, and the general only nodded. Heading towards the door, she waited for you to follow. You looked back at Lotor one more time, just to see another soft smile placed on his lips. Maybe what you had thought about him before was wrong. He didn't seem like such a bad guy. Not even the slightest like other Galra. He had... manners. A lot of them. Returning the smile to him, you followed Acxa out of the room.

Just shortly after you left the room, a wide smirk started to spread across Lotor's face. He had lied to you. Not about everything, but about the most parts. He knew if he told the truth, you would've just left. And the most he lied about the part where he said you could decide whether to stay or leave. No, he wouldn't let you leave. You were too skilled to let you go that easily. And you as well might have some important information he won't get out of you by force. He needs to gain your trust. And he's on the right path for that. You had fallen for his plan.

"How naive and manipulative. How... adorable." He said to himself. Everything went just right.

As Acxa led you to your room, she told you to stay there, she would be getting your armor. You nodded in response, and then took a look around in the room. It wasn't too big, neither too small. A bed in the corner at the wall, a wardrobe, some drawers, even a desk and a door that probably led to an extra bathroom. It was almost like in the Castle of Lions, just... well, darker. Maybe even a little bigger. You couldn't tell exactly.

After a while, the general returned, handing you the armor. "Put this on. It should adjust to your features. After you did so, please head immediately back to the bridge. Lotor should be waiting for you there." You gave her another nod, but she only returned it with a sceptical glance before she left. Well, probably she didn't like you.

You took a closer look over the you given armor. Of course, it had the same colour scheme as Lotor's and his General's. Was this really going to fit? And what about your tail? Well, you had to try.

Managing to slip into the set, it really was adjusting to your features. There was even a hole in the suit for your tail to fit through. It felt different from what you always wore before of course, but you could get used to it. Now you looked at yourself in the mirror. Not that bad. The design looked similar to Acxa's, but still was unique on its own. You decided to tie your hair up into a nicely made bun. Or else it'd be a huge bother.

After you were done, you started heading to the bridge again, letting some thoughts go through your head. What was going to happen now? What would be next? And what would you do now? You didn't know, but you might find answers to all your questions soon.

The door opened, and you entered the room again. You could see Lotor's Generals working, managing the ship probably. But Lotor was nowhere to be seen, until you saw him stand up from a seat in the middle of the room you hadn't even noticed yet. It looked like a throne, well, of course. It seemed very nice in here, and you could gaze into space, you liked that. Was this where you would be starting to work now? It wouldn't be happening that easily.

Lotor approached you, until he was standing right in front of you. His eyes examined your figure exactly, which made you blush a little and feel very uncomfortable. Him looking at you like this was weird. If felt so strange.
"It suits you, dear." He finally spoke up while having a smile on his face. You averted your eyes, only nodding at him. This sure felt awkward. "Oh, there is almost a thing I forgot to ask. The most important one." He began, "May I be allowed to know the name of my new general?"

You blinked. Right, you almost forgot that. "(Y/n)... it's (Y/n)."

"What an unique name, I like it."
His words made your cheeks heat up again. What was he on about? Was he trying to flirt with you? No, he wasn't. Seems like he was just being very... friendly? Who knew.

This was going to be the start of a new part of your life. A part that will change your life completely. Hopefully, you wouldn't regret your choice any time soon.
