Chapter Eight || Unwanted Encounter

On the next day, you had to get up early. Lotor wanted to see you - So did Acxa say as she came into your room. You wondered what it was. You hurried up, after all, you couldn't wait to see him again. Just one night apart from him and you already started to miss him. You felt like you were lovesick - you kinda were but, it was just weird. Everything around you suddenly seemed different, you felt lighter, happier, better. Everything seemed to be okay all of the sudden. The future seemed bright. It felt so good. So right.

You almost ran down the halls after you got ready, always having a smile on your face. You soon reached the bridge and stepped inside, just to see Acxa and Ezor already up, just as Lotor. Ezor turned around to look at you and smiled. "Wow, you look like you just ate the best cake ever. Why so happy?" Your tail swayed from left to right and you held your hands behind your back, slightly trying to hide your smile. "Oh nothing... just in a good mood, that's all." She chuckled a little and returned to look at the screens. "If you say so~~"

You giggled a little as well but then straightened yourself as Lotor got up to approach you. As you gave him a wide smile, he gladly returned it. "It is nice to see you up early." Lotor spoke up. Normally, they let you sleep a little longer. Or well, Lotor did. You didn't know why, but he just did. Though, you always got up the same time as the others, but the time you had left in the morning you used for morning exercise and showering. So no time was wasted.

"Why did you want to see me, Sir?" You asked, tilting your head a little to the left. His smile faded a little, "I need you to check on one of our outposts that we receive resources from." He placed a hand on your shoulder before he continued. "It's very important. And I trust you in this, (Y/n)." The look in his eyes seemed kinda concerned, so it really must be really important. And he trusted you in this. He had lots of trust in you, trusted you the most. It made you smile again.

Without hesitation, you replied. "I won't disappoint you, Sir." You placed a fist on your chest as salutation, and he nodded at you. "Good. Be careful out there. Don't want anything to happen to you, after all." He gave you a quick wink with one eye, making your cheeks turn into a slight pink shade. He returned to his seat. As you left the room, you could literally feel Acxa's eyes glare daggers into your back. But you only smiled to yourself, oh if only she would know.

You headed straight for the hangar, where Zethrid stood in the doorway, waiting for you. "Lotor ordered me to tell you that you will be using his fighter to travel." Your eyes widened. Wait what? He actually allowed you to fly his fighter? You were flying with him at times as co-pilot, but never really flew it yourself. This was new. And it seemed like even Zethrid was surprised.

Walking to the fighter, you looked up at it. Beautiful, you always admired its shape and agility, it could move as fast and good as the red lion which was fascinating to you. For a second, you didn't even want to get in. This would be royal territory for you. The seat you would set yourself down onto now would be his'. He always sat there. The Prince. Future emperor. The one you loved. Taking a deep breath, you finally overcame yourself and got into the fighter. Only putting your helmet on and closing the cockpit. You took some minutes to adjust in the seat - it felt different than your usual place in the co-pilot cockpit. But you had to get used to it.

Not wanting to waste any more time you finally got ready, and flew out of the hangar. Once you entered space, you typed the coordinates into the ship, and leaned back. Now you could relax, it would fly itself there, but the landing you had to do yourself.
