Symere's POV

I left the hospital and made my way home an hour ago.

I walked into the living room, hearing Brittany sniffling.

"What's wrong?"
I asked her as i give her a comforting hug.

"R-Rodney."
She stuttered.

Rodney was her younger brother.

"What about Rodney?"
I asked with my arm still around her.

"H-He ha-has Cancer."
She started crying, hard.

"Shhhh..it's ok. Everything is going to be ok."
I said as i rubbed her back.

"I hope so."
She said, still crying.

"Where's Anaya?"
I asked her.

"She is sleeping in her room."
She said.

"How did you find out Rodney has Cancer?"
I asked her.

"He asked me to take him to his appointment. I asked him why he wanted me to go to his appointment and that's when he broke down and told me he has Cancer."
She said, wiping her eyes.

"It's ok babygirl. He gone be ok."
I said as i walked away to see my baby.

I walked into Anaya's room and see her snuggled up in her crib. I kissed her forehead and then went back downstairs to Brittany.

"So you gonna go to his appointment?"
I asked her.

"I don't think i can do this alone."
She said.

"I'll go with you. I got you. I promise."
I said while pecking her lips.

"I ma go lay down for a bit."
I told her.

I took off my shirt. I was already wearing basketball shorts so i decided to leave em on.

I got in bed and let my thoughts take over.

All this shit is going on.

Jace has severe anxiety.

Rodney has Cancer.

I just proposed to my girlfriend/babymom.

I still love Jace but i have to move on. I have a daughter with Brittany. Jace is good. She just has a few issues but she isn't as damaged as Brittany. Brittany is taking over my heart again. Day by day i realize how much i need her.

"We have to tell someone."
The nurse said.

"I have no one other than me and my daughter."
I told her.

"What about the young man who bought you here?"
She asked.

"He-he can't know."
I said.

"Well we have to inform someone."
She said.

"I'll tell someone, you don't have to worry about this."
I told her.

"Well, your appointment is at tomorrow at 4 in the C-Wing tomorrow."
She said.

"Thank you so much."
I told her.

"Can i use this real quick?"
I asked her.

"Sure."
She said.

I called Jazz and told her to pick me up.

I woke up from my nap and went downstairs to see what Brit was doing.

She was staring at a blank TV screen.

"Brit."
I said.

She didn't respond. She didn't even blink.

"Brit."
I said louder, now shaking her.

"W-what?"
She said.

"Whatchu thinking about?"
I asked her.

"I am thinking about how everything happened. Rodney's life was perfect. Why god have to do that?"
She asked me.

"I-I don't know."
I replied.

"But uh...when and where's the appointment?"
I asked her.

"Tomorrow in the DCMH. The C-Wing."
She said.

"I'll drop Ayana at Jazz's place."
She didn't reply.
