Hi guyz, sorry I haven't posted so long but school started and I went to new one. Right now (while writing this) I'm on PE lessons and then I'm having Italian(I'm so happy I can learn this language. BTW ANY HELP IS SO MUCH APPRECIATED I'D BE SO HAPPY IF ANY OF YOU COULD HELP ME).

So, let's get back to today's subject.
The CZAS it is. Since you know polish numbers, I'll show you how to say which time is it right then.

So the helpful reminder
Jeden
Dwa
Trzy
Cztery
Pięć
Sześć
Siedem
Osiem
Dziewięć
Dziesięć
Jedenaście
And so on

So the time in polish is basically in 24hrs system (from what i know it's the military system in USA?am I right?) which means there's no PM nor AM. Well, you can use the polish word which stands for AM and PM but this later.

We say

1 PIERWSZA(rano) =1 am

2 DRUGA (nad ranem) = 2am

3 TRZECIA (nad ranem)= 3am

4 CZWARTA (nad ranem)= 4 AM

5 PIĄTA(nad ranem)= 5 AM

6 SZÓSTA(rano)= 6AM

7 SIÓDMA (rano) = 7 AM

8 ÓSMA(rano) =8 AM

9 DZIEWIĄTA(rano)=9 AM

10 DZIESIĄTA(rano)=10 AM

11 JEDENASTA(rano)=11 AM
(stranger things aaaaæaaa)

12 DWUNASTA (W POŁUDNIE)= 12

13 TRZYNASTA (PO POŁUDNIU)=13

14 CZTERNASTA= 14

15 PIĘTNASTA=15

16 SZESNASTA=16

17 SIEDEMNASTA=17

18 OSIEMNASTA=18

19 DZIEWIĘTNASTA=19

20 DWUDZIESTA=20

21 DWUDZIESTA PIERWSZA=21

22 DWUDZIESTA DRUGA=22

23 DWUDZIESTA TRZECIA=23

24 DWUDZIESTA CZWARTA =24

You probably know how to use Military System Stu there's no need to explain this.

13 to 17 (ig)     it's afternoon
17 to 20.       it's evening
21 to 3.      it's nighttime

Most people use the 12hrs system bc it's easier  and you don't have to always say RANO , WIECZOREM , W POŁUDNIE , POPOŁUDNIU, W NOCY if the context is clear.

If I said ' trzecia' out of blue and there's no context connected with it I and others as well don't know if it's 3 in the morning or 3 (afternoon). So the context here is really important if you won't use RANO, WIECZOREM and so on you may be misunderstood.

REMEMBER ABOUT PRZYPADKI

You say dwudziesta, jedenasta, dwunasta etc bc there's something called ' liczebniki porządkowe'

Something like this is not that extended in English(Like: 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th (so on)) as in Polish. Unfortunately...
BUT there's one of przypadki that if you use it you are going to have right liczebnik porządkowy.

You know which one is it?

Mianownik ( kto, co )/who, what
(It's most likely the noun in original form.)

The time is CZAS
An hour is GODZINA
Hours = GODZINY
Minute is MINUTA
Minutes = MINUTY

Minuta is actually very similar to English sobit should be easier dor you to remember.

Now the thing is
You can use numbers (12am and up) just saying the number
Example
Trzynasta = Pierwsza (PO POŁUDNIU)
Czternasta = Druga (PO POŁUDNIU)

you can ommit the PO POŁUDNIU/RANO/NAD RANEM part when the person/people you're talking to knows the context.

Minutes:
You can say it's
Piąta pięć= 5:05
And so on.
You just put the basic numbers i talked about in one of previous chapters.

You can also say
it's
A Quarter after (the name of the hour)
B  Half until (the namd of the hour)

Let's name every hour the X
A= kwadrans do X

B = w pół do X

YOU CAN ALSO SAY

A= PIĘTNAŚCIE (minut) PO X

B= PÓŁ GODZINY PO X
B= TRZYDZIEŚCI (minut) PO X

We don't always say TRZYDZIEŚCI MINUT PO X we often say TRZYDZIEŚCI PO X add everyone understands.

And here's a clue for you to search up

What did I say:

Paaa! Bawcie się dobrze rozwiązując zadania i trzymajcie się ciepło*! Do zdobaczenia w następnym rozdziale!

*trzymajcie się ciepło is an idiom.
