I laughed. "It's called a s'more. And it's graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows."

"Oh!" Evie nodded and tried to get closer to me by pressed her head into my neck and still trying to get closer.

"If you're trying to accomplish getting closer to him, it's never going to happen." Jay walked by to sit in his chair.

"I can try..." Evie mumbled

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Is Lonnie like this?"

"You should be able to answer that yourself Doug," Audrey and Chad came walking back, hand in hand.

"What?" I asked

Mal and Ben came back from inside. "What's happening?"

"Doug asked what Lonnie is like in a relationship," Chad told them.

"Why?" Jane asked. "You already know."

I dropped my head. "It was less than a month, not a big deal."

"You dated Lonnie?" Evie looked at me with a hint of worry.

"If you want to even consider it dating guys!" I told them. I looked at Lonnie. "We did nothing different than what we do now."

"Agreed," Lonnie grabbed a marshmallow. "Possibly less."

"Lonnie and Doug who would've thought?" Mal asked

"Why?" Evie asked. "I'm still asking myself that."

I tried to hide my smile. "Because I'm such a jerk."

"You are," Evie whispered to me.

"That was so long ago I can't even remember." Lonnie rolled her eyes

"Hey Doug," Jay said, "Remember the 5 rule that you clearly don't follow anymore?"

I nodded. "5 feet away from each other, no more than 5 seconds of staring at a time, and 5 minutes of texting at a time."

"That applies."

"Okay friend." I answered

Evie looked shocked. "Jay you made rules for him!"

"What else I supposed to do!"

"Leave him alone!"

Everyone laughed getting us back to usual us.

"Love Master Doug." Ben sighed

Chad pointed at Ben and laughed.

Not this again.

"What?" Evie asked

"Doug dated more people than Chad." Jane chuckled

I looked over at Evie's whose mouth dropped a bit.

"How?"

Everyone broke into laughter again.

I shook my head. "Taken advantage of basically. Homework and I'm a really good date planner."

"He is," Jane agreed.

"You dated him too!?" Evie snapped back at Jane

She put up her hands. "No no! Doug took me on a date to show how I should be treated when I was 12 and he was 15."

Evie turned back to me. "Awe that's so sweet!"

I felt my cheeks darken a shade or two.

"He also dated Tiana's daughter." Audrey added

"He broke her arm, that's not really dating." Lonnie pointed out.

"Well they did have that awkward week before they went on the date." Ben cleared up.

"You dated a princess?" Evie asked me

"For a week! I'm a very short term guy!" I defended

Everyone went silent and Evie nodded

"You know I didn't mean it that way Evie." I reassured her.

She bit her lip. "And I thought I was a flirt."

"Still are!" Chad yelled

"SHUT UP CHAD!" Everyone yelled

"Out of the 16 girls I dated, I asked out 3. The rest came to me." I explained

"You should shut up now," Carlos told me

"16!?" Evie snapped and backed away from me. "I haven't dated anyone before you and I'm lucky number 16!?"

"The longest I've dated someone before you was 2 months, it's nothing." I pleaded. "Just believe me." I took her hands and to my surprise she didn't resist. Our 7 month anniversary was 2 days ago! I'm taking you to my family in less than 2 weeks, I work for free."

Everyone laughed including Evie. "But still... 16... a bit-"

Evie just shut up!

I glanced at her, only allowing myself to get lost in her eyes for a short second before pressing my lips against her soft ones. I could only feel her slightly gasp and smile. She detangled our fingers and placed her hand on my neck and returned the kiss as I rubbed her side with my free hand. The smell of the campfire lingered making me feel even more at home. We both faintly heard everyone freaking out and even a squeal, which I assumed to be Mal.

"Carlos, stop screaming!" Jay demanded.

This made us both laugh and break the kiss. Evie stared at me smiling.

"But seriously you didn't date anyone on the Isle? Like you flirted with guys just to flirt?" I asked

Evie tried to formulate words but couldn't making everyone laugh.

"How To Silence a Princess 101!" Mal yelled

"Yeah... I just." Evie coughed to try to buy herself more time to think. "Had to practice?"

A chuckled along with the rest. "Obviously not enough."

She shook her head. "You are such a jerk!" She hit my chest. "Like no warning at all! The other times you thought about it for like 5 minutes and decided not to so I could at least- this isn't fair! No! This is not how it wa supposed to- shut up!"

I smiled and pulled her into me.

"You're the worst!" She continued

I nodded. "Yes Evie I am."

"Shut up!" She yelled rubbing my hand. "Don't try to act like nothing happened like you always do!"

Ben butted in. "Is this how arguments work?"

Carlos was typing on his phone. "I'm already taking notes."
