I have a distant love
She is the best love that I have ever known
The the distance does not make it easy
The love just makes it necessary
For how does one give up on the best love that one has ever known
I haven't any idea nor desire to find out
I'd much rather love distantly than not at all
The distance melts away with a sweet memory of the love that we share
I yearn to be her every day of my life
Even though I know that it's best to keep my distance
And still I want to rush right in
But I have to remind myself better a distant love than a distant memory
