Well hello again readers, because there was an original version of this prelude but I accidentally deleted it...opps.... Guess I'll have to recall everything I said last cause the original copy got lost in the void. So I know you all are expecting a first chapter, but it is at the moment still in the process of being written, I apologize for the delay.
First, a little about myself, I'm Jehan. I also go by Jopale-Opal on my DA account, but Jehan is fine. I'm an artist who also likes to write, which I have been doing for as long as I have learnt to draw.
This story I'm writing is going to be my debut novel after having this account for a while now. It is a story that 13-year-old me would have loved to write back in the day. In a way, I am going back to my roots and sorta reliving the joy I felt then and now writing and creating the worlds my characters live in as well as drawing them.
So this is all done for fun, nothing serious like getting it actually published or something. But I might make this into a "illustrated web novel", it will be written in such a way that will involve pictures (which will be all drawn by me). Since I have this habit going on ans on describing someone or something in paragraphs, this will be good practice for getting better at "show don't tell". This version of the story is a "rough draft" of sorts so it won't be as polished until I worked on a final version for the official illistrated web novel.
Like I said, creating characters and the worlds they live in are my passion but lately because of life pulling me by the ankles and lost most of my motivation, not because of a creative block. I've written many stories throughout my life but they are never done (unless you count this one fanfiction i wrote back in highschool but thats another story, pun intended) I want to make this work somehow despite my busy life.
In writing this story, you could say it is my "love letter" to my younger self and to my artistic muse (my mmc) who started it all. It will obviously be not perfect but younger me would have love to read this.
I welcome critique/feedback, so you have my permission to be blunt but keep it polite. Comments are very much welcomed as i love reading those too. I hope you enjoy reading this as I do writing this and if you didn't I won't judge you. Stay tuned for Chapter 1: Crossed Paths
