If I forgot you,
if I just let go,
if I simply let
your name
slip off my lips
for the last time,
would it matter?
If I ignored the thought
of you,
if I tried to erase
you from my memory,
if I clicked delete,
what would it change?
I would still miss you.
So how would that
fix the problem at all?
I can weigh the possibilities
and ask what if
all day,
but it still boils down
to the fact
I’m not over you.
