Hey everyone! So, I know you are all mad at me for not updating, but I've been really busy lately, and I'm hitting some bumps along the way. I hope you enjoy this chapter and thank you for you're patience!!

I'm such an idiot.

I need to see her, and make sure everything is okay, but she told me to give her space. What the hell am I supposed to do now? Just sit here, and pray everything goes okay?
I guess so.

But I can't.
I run my fingers through my hair.
I frustrate myself so much, it's frustrating.
I pace back and forth from one side of my bedroom to the other, thinking of the things I should have done at the club.

1. Not jump to conclusions.
2. Don't push Al.
3. Kept my cool.
4. Waited for Tris to explain inside of interrupting her.

I look back down at my phone, resting on my king size pillow.
Don't Tobias.
Give it a rest.
I need something to distract me.
I walk down to my office, and sit down in my chair behind my work desk.

Papers are scattered everywhere, even on the floor.
I don't remember coming in here, but I guess I did. Oh well.
I grab the first paper my hand lands on, and take a look at it.
A report about the production of the new system codes for the new phone coming out soon.

I skim through it, then set it back down and grab another paper, starting a pile to the left of me.
I look through a few more papers, and finally give up.

This isn't helping.
I walk back up to my room, and check my phone.
Nothing.
Not even work notifications.

I groan in frustration again.
I walk into my closet, and grab a pair of jogging pants and a sweatshirt.
I change, and grab my headphones, and my phone.

I jog down the stairs and outside, and play music.
Once I reach outside, a rush of cold air hits my face. I start to run.
I take the trail to my right, which has all the hills.
I speed up as I approach the first hill.
Not that steep, but very long.

I'm sure Tris would like to-
Shit. Tobias. Stop.
I shake my head, and my breathing gets heavy.
I eventually reach the top, music pounding in my ears.
I jog down, beads of sweat rolling down my forehead.

I start up the next hill, which is steeper than he one before, but not as long.
I take a deep breath, and run up the hill, my legs burning.

I ignore it, and push myself, until I reach the top.
When I reach the top, I jog in place for a minute, letting my legs take a break, and I immediately regret it.

Tris pops back in my mind, her face red with fury.
I quickly start running again.
I can't stop.
One more hill then it goes in a circle.
It's the steepest, and longest hill of all of them, and I used to have trouble going up this one, but where I run this so much, it doesn't faze me as much.

I go full speed up the hill, my side starting to burn, but I ignore it.
I push myself faster.
I'm halfway there.

Sweat rolls down my nose, and drips of my face.
My legs are getting heavy, making it harder to keep going.
But I don't stop, and I keep pushing.
Almost there..I tell myself.

Finally, I reach the top, and I start walking.
Don't stop moving completely, or your muscles will tighten.
I walk down and start making my way back home.

I grab my phone out, and check it.
A text from Tris.
Thank fucking God.

Tris- Hey. I know I said I needed space, but I can't stand my brother anymore. He is driving me insane. Can I come back to your place?

I will take any excuse for you to come back.

Tobias- of course. I just finished a run and I'm heading back. I'll get Aaron to pick you up.

Seconds later, she responds;
Tris- thank you!

I run back home, eager to see Tris, even though it's only been like, not even a day right?
I honestly don't know. I was so worried about her, I lost track of time.

Thought thought her makes me run faster, even thought my muscles are begging me not too.
Tris is more important.
I finally reach the house, and I walk over to Aaron, who is eating who knows what.

"Can you pick up Tris?" I ask.
He nods, and he leaves without asking for directions.
I guess he knows where he is going.
I sit down on the chair that Aaron was sitting at.

I look down at his plate.
Lobster.
He does have a good taste in food.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Tris runs into the door, and jumps on top of me, hugging me tightly.
I hug her back, relived to have her in my arms.
She starts to cry.

I pick her up, her head buried onto my neck, and I walk her upstairs, nodding at Aaron.
When we reach my room, I set her down on my bed.
She rubs her face, her makeup going everywhere.

"Tobias, I'm so sorry I'm such a mess." She starts, but I stop her before she can continue.
"You aren't a mess. You're a hot mess Tris." I say.
She laughs a little, and I smile.

"It's only me here." I say.
She takes a deep, shaky breath, then starts talking, "my parents were at work. They work at Abnegation Services, and appearently there was a shooting there, and my parents risked their lives to get everyone else out and safe." She stutters, her eyes all glassy again.

I frown, my eyebrows furrow.
"I'm so sorry Tris." I say, sitting next to her, pulling her to me.
I kiss her forehead.
She wraps her arms around my back, and we just stay there, lips on her head, arms around my back.

I  close my eyes.
I pull her closer to my chest, not wanting her to leave me.

She eventually pulls away, and looks into my eyes, with her beautiful gray ones.
She smiles.
"Do I have to go to work tomorrow?" She says.
I chuckle, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You can call in sick." I say.
"But could you stay with me?"
"I can probably work something out." I say with a grin.

She nods, and it goes silent again.
I cup the side her face with my hand, and she closes her eyes.
I lean close to her, our breathing mix.
I close the gap, and my lips meet hers.

They are so soft, so perfect.
I pull her onto my lap, and she wraps her arms around my neck.
I place my hands on her hips, and the kiss becomes more passionate.

She can make anything magical.
I moan quietly, letting her know how she makes me feel.
She squirms.

We pull away to breathe, and I kiss her collarbone.
"I missed you." I tell her.
