Wow an update... that's long ago oops T-T
I'll try to update more often, but here is an update for now at least! Sorry for any typos!-PixelateMe
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[Jungkook's POV]
'Well that wasn't quite the entrance I had planned for.'
He awkwardly stands in the door opening, scratching his neck as his eyes meet mine. Immediately I can feel my cheeks redden. The last time we saw each other, he carried me to my bed.
But then I realize again that he doesn't actually want to talk to me, made clear by not answering any of my attempts to contact him, so I focus my eyes on the book in front of me again, praying he will go away eventually.
Instead, I hear him shuffle towards the left, a soft scraping noise filling the room, created by him sitting down in the chair near the fireplace.
'Why are you here Taehyung? Can't you see we're studying?' Namjoon sounds slightly irritated.
I still don't dare to move my eyes from the page, but I hear a soft moan coming from my left.
'But Hyunggg! The movers have accidentally knocked over something and now the heating doesn't work anymore. I'm literally freezing in my room and this is the only space with a fireplace in it! Please let me stay here, I'll quietly read my book.' Without looking at him, I know he tries puppy-eyes on Namjoon to convince him.
Of course it works.
'Okay, but as long as you stay quite.' Namjoon gives in. 'So where were we? Oh yeah: personification, so...'
Namjoon continues pointing out various forms of symbolism, whilst my mind does everything instead of absorbing any of the words he says. The only thing I can now concentrate on is Taehyung, who I can see in the corner of my eyes, flipping through the pages of a comic book. I can't quite make out which book he's actually reading, but ever so often the corners of his mouth slightly lift, making it impossible for me to keep my mind straight.
'Huh?'
I suddenly realize the silence that had been hanging in the room, having my eyes finally tear away from Taehyung and meet Namjoon's.
'I asked what the answer of question eleven is.' He sighs, slightly louder than he probably intended, but in the background I can see that it grabbed Taehyung's attention and he's now looking at us.
And 'us' includes me.
'Jungkook, please try to pay attention. If not, then just leave.' He doesn't sound angry, like when a teacher tells you to stop playing on your phone and actually try to give a damn about what is being taught. He just sounds disappointed. And that's even worse...
'I'm sorry Hyung, I'll work harder. Can you please explain it one more time?' My eyes meet his again, and I can see the sadness still behind them. I shouldn't be the person to give him more trouble, not when he's already in such a hard position.
He fainlty smiles. 'Of course Jungkook,' and he points once again at the scheme in front of us, using eleborate hand gestures to explain the connections between the different kind of metaphors.
I truely try, but my concentration span is again interrupted when my eyes catch a sudden movement on my left. I turn my head ever so slightly that Namjoon will just think I'm looking at my book, but Taehyung knows I look at him, because our eyes meet that moment.
Wishing I hadn't, I can't help but smile. Behind Namjoon's back, Taehyung is copying his elaborate hand gestures, capturing every single bit of his posture, his moves, even the way his mouth moves. Namjoon can't see him, but I can't look away, entranced by his performance. He knows he's funny, and now that he knows he's gained himself a spectator, he's not going to stop.
