gaten's pov

i carefully pulled back from hugging
y/n, and what i saw made my heart break.

how was i just now realizing this?

the pain in y/n's eyes, how self-conscious she is, and how just straight up depressed she is.

i think this is why she doesn't like facetime very much.

i need to tell people.

"hey, y/n, i'm going to go upstairs and organize my stuff, okay?"

y/n nodded and said,

"i'll be down here watching tv. tell for me if you need anything."

she added a little small smile to the end of her sentence.

i nodded and turned around, but y/n said something that caused me to turn on my heels.

"oh and gaten? thank you for coming. it means a lot."

i smile at her and tilt my head.

"anything for you, baby girl."

y/n just blushed, nodded, and turned on her heel and went to sit down.

i sighed, not realizing i was holding my breath.

i carefully walked up the stairs, not knowing what i was actually going to do.

i mean, i'm not actually going to organize.

who does that anymore?

but instead, i go into y/n's room.

not to snoop through her drawers, cause i'm not a creep.

but im just curious.

the first thing i notice in her room is the fact that she is very organized.

she has swimming medals and trophies all lined up her walls, along with multiple polaroids of her and her friends.

very "aesthetic" as some people would say.

i also notice that her MAC book is opened and on her bed, so me being the curious person i am, had to take a look.

i shake the mouse a little to wake up the device, and i see that she is on her instagram.

directly on the comment section.

"what the heck was she doing looking through her comment section?" i muttered under my breath.

i scrolled through the comments,
wondering what she was so interested in.

then i notice them.

all of the hateful comments.

along with some really sweet ones.

i immediately shut the laptop, now realizing why she is so self-conscious and sad.

she has sooo many haters.

way more than millie does.

way more than finn does.

way more than any of us, actually.

i carefully walk out of y/n's room, since i didn't want to get caught in there.

i tip-toed to my temporary room, and closed the door quietly.

i jumped onto my bed, and pulled out my phone.

and to do what?

well to text people of course.
