4.1 Why we live where we do

« your own opinion on said place is an important factor
« depends on your own needs and wants
« things to take in account age, income, cultural background, lifestyle, values and beliefs
« sports have a factor for the community to have what sport facility you do
« things you like to do or where you want to be
«  decreasing the liveability to you if doesn't have a want or need
« places we love to go to plays a part for say with friends, family or just by yourself
« some places can have a spiritual attraction for yourself
« aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people have developed strong connections to their homes
« most people agree that a liveable place must have features like
An easy temperature climate
Easy to get around
Able to offer good health care, work, and education
Is safe
Is affordable
Is diverse
Is sustainable
Is attractive

4.2 Where early Indigenous Australian lived

« first people to arrive In Australia is estimated to be around 40,000 and 50,000 years ago
« at that time sea level was lower than today's sea level
« most indigenous tribes were based near water for there needs to survive
« they used natural resources to make there land liveable for example used bark to make shelters, canoes and shields and wood to make fires and spears.
« they fished from the rivers they settled near and made elaborate stone traps to catch creatures like eels and fish
« hunted larger creatures like kangaroo and wallaby as well as birds and lizards
« fresh water was hard to find back then
« aboriginal people had more of a seasonal way of life compared to a coastal one
« as talked in 4.1 they had a Spiritual connection with the land which formed their beliefs and view of their home
« it was because of their ancestors they felt more comfortable in the country it is today

4.3 Where modern Australians live

« in modern times now another need for a liveable place comes down to water, food, technology and infrastructure
« modern family's preferences rely on needs and wants these change to appeal others defending how far in life they are
« depending on families the ability to have a house or an apartment is a factor for a place to be liveable
« generally people want to have the right services close to them to make it suitable for their own lifestyles
« Jobs are something that people look for that's a close to there homes, they want to leave near where employment is available.
« weather/climate is also a factor that people have an eye out for. Depending on if they like warm weather or cool weather
« cultural reasons come into play as some have a spiritual connection to where they live for example the aboriginals stay out of local areas and stay put because of the connection.
« people make choices to where they are set is due to the entertainment that is around you like music, sports and many others

4.4 Living in large cities

« capital cites are based around the outer ages of metropolitan areas
« suburbs are along the rural-urban fringe these places have the large populations growing as more services and goods are implemented in these new suburbs
« most popular suburbs have usually have growing schools, shopping centres, medical centres and sporting facilities
« Blacktown is on the fringe of the metropolitan area in western Sydney.
« Blacktown is one Of the fastest growing areas in Australia
« in 2011 the population of the town was over 43,00
« Blacktown is one of Australia's largest suburbs
« Factors that made its popularity what it is the relativity cheap land, the building of major roads, schools, public pools, libraries, and a university.
« The town also has a lot of shopping areas including large shopping centres, shopping strips and a central business district.
