"oh is that so? you want me to help you?" but i've searched the whole store for them; how?

"sure..but i can't find some here though.."

"oh don't worry, my grandmother owns an art store near where we live. i just came here to get some pencils; i'm too lazy to walk all the way over there." you say as you chuckle.

i began to smile as well, and you're such a miracle worker. "oh okay, do you mind taking me there?"

"of course!..ah, here are the pencils." you immediately grab the pencils that were beside you. "it took me 10 minutes to find these."

i laughed, and i replied, "it's fine. let me find some cardboard for lisa's project real quick."

"that's fine, i'll pay for the pencils. you want me to pay the cardboard for you?"

"no, i'm--"

"i insist! don't worry, your friend's work is really important." we both stared into each other eyes, until i broke contact.

should i let you pay?..i really feel bad. i mean if you insist, then--

"i guess..thank you [name]."
