After meeting Kirsch yesterday, I wanted to know who his nurse was supposed to be. Turns out he was supposed to meet with his therapist yesterday but never showed up for his appointment. After a quick talk with his therapist and his other nurses I found out that Kirsch was getting closer and closer to leaving this place but every time he got close he would skip his sessions and ignore any advice given to him about his mental health. I surely had to ask him about this when I saw him again but until then I had to find Carmilla.

None of the nurses seemed to know where she was so I could only guess she was where she wasn't supposed to be, the building rooftop. I grab Carmilla's medications and a water bottle before heading up the stairs. I knew Lafontaine would be angry with me allowing her to be up there but what other choice did I have. Patients are a lot more cooperative when in an area they felt most comfortable.

When I reach the rooftop I see Carmilla sitting on the edge of the building with her legs dangling over the edge. She had her eyes closed and her face to the wind. I was frightened she would jump or that my presence would scare her off so I gently close the door behind me but make enough noise for her to know I'm here.

"What do you want Hollis?" she sighs opening her eyes but not turning towards me.

"You remember my name." I raise an eyebrow but brush off my own comment. " I mean, don't you think you're a bit close to the edge there?" I respond only stepping a few feet closer.

"I'm not going to jump if that's what you're thinking." She finally turns her whole body around, facing her back to the edge now. I still felt a little uncomfortable seeing her so close to falling but I wanted to believe her.

"I brought your meds."

"After a whole day of peace and quiet I almost thought you had forgotten about me." She lets out a small laugh and whispers under her breath, "one could only hope." Carmilla then scoots off the edge and walks towards me grabbing the meds and water from me.

"I just thought you needed space." I shrug walking towards a near by AC unit covered with a metal frame and sitting on top of it. The wind wasn't very strong but it was nice and cool compared to the cold hospital setting inside.

"You thought right," she takes the meds and chugs the water down, "and only a day of it wasn't enough." She tosses the bottle back in my direction and I surprisingly catch it.

"Well you shouldn't have gotten used to it. As your nurse I'm not exactly supposed to leave you alone much, especially with the very little I've heard about you and your case file."

"What exactly have you heard?" She asks leaning her back against the exit door.

I probably shouldn't have mentioned knowing anything. Smart move Hollis.

"Well um... not much." I place my hands in my pocket are start playing with my pen in the privacy of the pouch.

"I'm sure you've heard many things." She shrugs, "I'm a psychopath, delusional-"

"Delusional?-"

"Schizophrenic even," she places a finger over her lips looking as though she was thinking, "bipolar, multiple personalities, a murderer-"

"A what now?" I stand trying to stop to her from saying more but she continues.

"Now that one has got to be my favorite," she points out her finger and smiles shaking her head.

"W-why would they call you a murderer?" I ask boldly, Carmilla's unread case file coming to mind now.

Carmilla shrugs and walks towards me.
"I figured that one would catch your ear." She walks around me in a circle seemingly observing me but I stay perfectly still. "You seem a bit tense nurse Hollis," a chuckle escapes her lips as I swallow down a nervous knot caught in my throat.

"I'm fine, just curious." My voice surprisingly sounded calm but my heartbeat was racing and my mind couldn't stop popping up the worst case scenarios.

"Since you seem to love to talk about me with other patients, why don't you just ask around?"

"Okay firstly, I don't talk about you.. to anyone." Carmilla stands in front of me now and looks at me with an 'are you serious' look.

"Secondly, I'd rather hear these things from you." I gaze down avoiding the obvious eye contact she was giving me. We stood there for a moment in complete silence. When I finally hear Carmilla breathe in as if to speak my phone goes off. Carmilla takes a few steps back and motions for me to answer it. I reach into my pocket and see that it's Perry calling.

"Hello" I answer.

"Don't be mad, but I'm going to need a huge favor." Perry says quickly and I can already guess whats coming next.

"Perrrr, I thought this was going to stop when we got jobs," I complain getting a look from Carmilla. I turn around as if it was going to give me any more privacy.

"I know I know, I'll make it up to you, you know I always do."

I sigh before giving in. "What shift do you need me to cover?"

"Tonight-"

"Seriously Per? That means I'll be pulling a double today!"

"I'm sorry Laura, you're the best! I'll leave notes on the patients you'll be watching tonight!"

Before I could get another word in Perry hangs up on me. I run a hand through my hair before turning around to be met with a smirking Carmilla.

"What?" I ask.

"Looks like someone's got plenty more to do than just watching me." Carmilla walks toward the door and opens it.

"Nothing I can't handle, I'll still be watching you Carmilla."

"Oh I'm sure you'll find the time," she answers back sarcastically before walking through the door towards the stairs.

"Don't forget you have to see your therapist!" I yell before the door closes behind her. I take a deep breath taking in the open air and thinking the long shift I knew lied ahead of me.

On the bright side this would give me some more time to maybe get more information from Carmilla, but who knows how many patients Perry was supposed to be in charge of tonight. I had a few hours until Perry's shift started so I planned on prepping for the night. I skimmed through the patients charts when I notice Carmilla's lodged in the stack. I pull it out and wonder why it was in the stack to begin with when curiosity strikes me.

Why was she being called a murderer?
