My parents brought up Ivy at the dinner table today. Here's how the conversation went:
Me:
Dad: I read in the newspaper that a girl recently commited suicide.
Mom: I was talking about it with the girls when we went out for dinner the other day. Her name was Ivy, Ivy Winston. She was a senior, I heard. Did you know who she was, Hudson dear?
Me: Yeah.
Dad: Do you know why she did it?
Me: No clue.
Mom: By any chance, were you in love with her? Did you like know her more than just a friend?
Me: Why would you think that?
Mom: Because you're crying right now.
Me: I don't want to talk about this anymore.
I got up without eating my food, and went up to my room after that. I didn't really come out until the next day.
