"When are Peridot and Lapis gonna get here?" Connie sighed as she and Steven looked at the group of children walking to start their trick or treating. Connie fidgeted the small indents in her shoulder armor, feeling the cheap rubber plastic bounce back. Steven was dressed as the eagle companion himself. They felt extremely proud of their outfits, both taking time to hand stitch and compose it. Yet they were held back because they want to be a whole team while walking around
"What about your friend at school?" Steven asked, Connie dismissed it easily"He's gonna be here in five minutes" she sighed and sat back. Steven smiled, waiting for her to ramble. Any minute now...
"He said he's gonna bring a bunch of-"
ah, there it is

"And then he fell off the second floor!" A familiar high pitch voiced said happily. Lapis's chuckle could be heard, as well as an unfamiliar chuckleunfamiliar to Steven, at least
"Jeff!" Connie ran toward her friend and embraced him, then gestured toward her gem friend
"This is Steven, Jeff! You know, the gem human I've telling you?" He instantly lit up, ran up to Steven and shook his hand. He had his same messy brown hair with a black pirate hat. An eye patch on his left eye. a pirate hook on his right hand and a set of well made Pirate clothes. His eyes shimmered as he gleefully looked at him
"I-I've been so excited to meet you! Do you really fight monsters?" he jumped up and down. Steven was taken aback, yet he was excited "Y-yeah! Connie did once too!"
"Yup, we saved the earth!" Peridot butted in, patting Jeff's shoulder. Jeff smiled at Peridot, before saying "Oh yeah! where were you when the 'cluster' emerged?" Jeff let go of his hand and walked with Peridot. Peridot wore what seems to be a red shirt and a yellow star... with blue shorts
"Peridot... are those my clothes?"

"Um... no?" Steven laughed before hugging her side "You're dressing as me for halloween!" Peridot laughed akwardly. Jeff looked away, heat rising to his cheeks. Peridot soon let go and continued her retelling with Jeff, Connie soon following suit. Steven looked at his group of friends, they were all having fun without him . However a hand rested on his shoulder
"It's fine, Peridot's having fun, Connie and this 'Jeff' are too. Peridot sometimes gets lonely" Lapis looked to the side, an expression of feint guilt on her face "Even when I'm around" Steven nodded and looked at his empty basket. Maybe this was good for Peridot, she always looking to befriend people. Boy did that contrast from her previous personality.

"Whats the difference between candy and donuts?" Peridot inquired, tapping Connie's shoulder.
"Its like, only the colorful part. No bread or anything" Jeff answered. Connie nodded, taking out a yellow orb, incased in translucent plastic. Peridot ate it and smiled " I suppose it does". Jeff smiled and laughed heartily, receiving a cold glare from Steven.
"You really don't know much about Earth, do you?"
"Well, I am from billions of light years away" she replied, both chuckling. Steven had clenched his fist, why was he so jealous?
"Lets go Peridot, there's some nice houses over there" Lapis ushered, repeating what she had heard Connie said. She led her to an alleyway, gripping onto her shoulder. "Peridot, try to be careful" she warned
"Why?"
"I don't want you to hurt Steven" she gripped tighter " So don't talk to him"
"L-L-Lapis! It's not hurting him! I-I'm just trying to know more about humans! Connies the-"
"I. Don't. Care"
she let go and walked off
"just try not to make Steven Jealous, alright?"
.

.
"whats Jealous?"
