She tells herself to stay calm;
No one can see the beast lurking inside.
She tells herself to stay focused;
No one will notice her mind exploding.

She tells herself to stay happy;
No one can see the tears running down.
She tells herself to be positive;
No one can see her giving up inside.

She tells herself to stay strong;
No one can see her muscles aching.
She tells herself to stay normal;
No one can see her clawing to be free.

She tells herself to stay clean;
No one can see her bathe in filth.
She tells herself to stay in hiding;
But no one can see her crying.
