"She's married." I told Ezekiel when I came back to the country. I was currently on my fourth beer. Parehas kasi kaming nasa may bar counter at naglalasing. Well, I was the only one drowning myself with alcohol. Sinamahan lang niya ako sa paglalasing.

Hindi naman ito nagsalita matapos ang sinabi ko. He just kept silent.

"I background checked him," I said. After knowing everything, I used all my contacts to background check the man, "He's a lawyer too."

"He's a better man than me." I added bitterly as I took another shot, "He's a good guy. I would even think he's already a saint." My voice was getting more and more sarcastic.

I don't know. My heart just doesn't feel well right now.

"When did they get married?" I asked Ezekiel. I know he knows everything what happened to Rose after I left her. Siya ang inahabilin ko para sa kanya, para sa babaeng pinakamamahal ko. I told him not to mention her anymore in my years of imprisonment - because I'll just regret it. I'll regret every decision I made in my life - In which now is happening to me.

"Three years ago. When you're still in prison," Ezekiel answered dryly like it was just nothing. I laughed bitterly.

"How?"

"She met him after she last visited you in the jail. She met him the night after it." Ezekiel then ordered a drink at the bartender. Binigyan naman kaagad siya nito ng isang glass.

"I saw the way she looked at him," I paused for a second like I was thinking deeply, "It was the same way she looked at me when she still loves me."

"She's happy now, Zeke. She doesn't love me anymore."

"Nurse! Nurse!" Rose was hysterical the moment we arrived at the hospital. Kaagad naman niyang nilapitan ang isa sa mga nurse na nakita namin sa emergency room. Everyone inside was really busy. Marami rin akong nakikitang mga duguan na pasyente doon na kinailangan kaagad ng lunas.

When I saw the text from her phone, kaagad ko siyang ginising. When she learned her husband got into an accident, she panicked. She was restless and asked me to go with her in the hospital.

"Nasaan ang asawa ko?" She immediately asked the nurse. Hindi naman nagsalita ang nurse at dinaanan lang siya. She kept scanning the surroundings - at parehas namang napahinto ang mga tingin naman nang makita ang isang pamilyar na lalake na naka-armsling at nakabenda ang ulo. He was currently talking to a male nurse. He looked like he had some injuries from the accident.

"Abel!" Rose quickly called his name. Napalingon naman ito sa amin and I've noticed, for a second, Darius Harrison saw me. He looked a little surprised but then he smiled as Rose immediately hugged him. Umalis naman ang nurse na kinausap nito kanina.

"Ano bang nangyari sayo? Bakit ka nandito?" Rose asked him worriedly as she cupped his face. Sa mga oras na iyon, ramdam ko ang pag-aalala niya para sa asawa.

Darius chuckled, "I"m okay, babe. It's nothing to worry about. May nakabanggaan lang akong kotse--"

"Ano? Bakit? Saan ka ba pumunta? Ang sabi mo lang sa 'kin--"
