I get it, we live in an age of technology. You have to charge phones, tablets, scooters even cars. However, this I was not expecting in the slightest.
Today I take the kids to get shoes. This is always an adventure because there's always one who leaves without shoes because they didn't have the right size, style, whatever. It always happens, we digress.
Hope just had to have light up shoes. Cool. We get them for her all the time. She jumps, they light up, it's cute. Well today she pulls out these cute monstrosities that do in fact light up, she loved them and had to have them.
Now I'm wondering to myself why the hell are these shoes so expensive. Are they lined with gold? Make you jump like Jordan? I mean, really. Then we get home and Hope then explains that they are battery powered and need to be charged.

I may sound old now and you all are probably laughing at this like, "Oh AJ, where have you been?" I guess under a rock because I didn't know shoes needed charging.
I remember when I was a tween and the big thing was those pump shoes. You bent down and pumped them up. I still have no idea what the actual purpose of those shoes was. This is the same, I have no idea what the purpose is. The kids grow out of them in two seconds anyway. Money grubbing companies.
