Okay so I homeschool my kids, as you all know. Well, it's through an online academy. Anyway, I have been hating the school they were currently in because even though it was mostly from home, I was going to the school like 4 times a week. The teachers made the kids seem like an imposition, my teenager was getting bullied and to be honest, my kids hated it.
So I've been trying to find alternatives and I've found one, but I need to jump through a million hoops to get them in. I'll do it, because their education is important to me. But to have school start in early August?
WHAT IS THAT?
When we were kids, school ended in mid-June and Started in late September. To me it seems that summer is getting shorter. School now ends at the end of May and starts in Early August. I know that summer vacation causes their minds to lose valuable information, but at the same time, they need a break.
Maybe I'm just too frazzled to think straight, but I just think it's hogwash.
Anyway, I'm late in enrolling them because for some strange reason (like my whole life reasoning) I thought school started later.
The government, always making our lives easier by complicating every damn thing.
