"I finally talked to him"
Josh looked up from his book and put the said book into his locker. He rose an eyebrow at his best friend Debby "Urie?"
"Yeah" Debby nodded, sighing "I also met his boyfriend"
Josh rolled his eyes "Brendon Urie does not have a boyfriend, Debby. He went to the school dance with Sarah from Biology"
"You should really stop calling people by what classes you have with them" Debby commented, looking at her nails "And, yes, Brendon does have a boyfriend"
"He can't have a boyfriend" Josh closed his locker finally, lowering his head as he made a firm locked stare with Debby "He's a guy"
Debby groaned and started to walk down the hallway "Homosexuality is a thing now, Jish"
"It's not a thing" Josh followed, having no trouble with catching up "They're just saying that because they wanna be edgy"
Debby only laughed as the two entered the school cafeteria. Josh didn't understand the laughter, but he was used to Debby being extremely weird. She'd always say and do weird things. He stopped minding her tries of losing her virginity before marriage, because he concluded that's not his thing. She can ruin herself all she wants, as long as she's healthy. He cared for her, but in the boundaries that she put up.
"Ooh!" Debby suddenly pulled Josh's hand rather violently "Look over there! Look! Look! Can you see?"
"Can I see what?" Josh looked from the spot she was pointing at back to her "Could you please calm down?"
"His name is Tyler Joseph, he's been here for a week, he's in my Maths class, he's got friends already, and he seems pretty cool, and-"
"Do you know his grandma's address?" Josh shook his head at his best friend.
"No, I don't" Debby smacked Josh on the chest, sighing "I wanna meet him"
"Sure, let's go"
"Really?!" Debby's jaw dropped "You're usually against meeting new people"
Josh shrugged "Only when you want to introduce me to some girls that wear bras to school without shirts"
"They're called crop-tops, we've talked about this" Debby facepalmed, just wanting to go over to the table where Tyler Joseph sat with his three friends.
"Whatever" Josh waved Debby's words off.
The two walked over to the round table. They were the school's nerds in a way; at least Josh was. Everybody at the table looked up at them, smiling in a welcoming way. Josh wasn't sure which of the two boys was Tyler.
The boy with the widest smile had fluffy, brown hair; shaved on the sides. His brown eyes were basically shining. The other boy had bright blonde hair which seemed to be filled with some sticky substance or it was just sweaty because it was very short. But Josh doesn't know a lot about hair anyways.
One of the girls had very long brown hair and one of those silly bras Debby had a special name for. Josh mentally sighed at the sight of her. The other girl had her hair dyed in a funny way. The right side of her hair was dyed blonde while the left was black. She also had a gap between her two front teeth.
Josh really wondered how didn't he ever see any of these kids in the hallways. Especially the silly hair girl.
"Hi! I'm Debby" Debby started to introduce them "And this is my friend, Josh"
"Nice to meet you" the fluffy-head stood up to shake their hands, still holding a wide grin "I'm Tyler"
"I'm Ashley" the brunette girl waved, winking at Josh. Josh gulped.
"Hello, I'm Melanie" the silly hair girl stood up and shook Debby's hand. She wanted to shake Josh's too, but Josh only cringed at her hand which made her smile drop a little "Nice to meet you"
"Pete" the blonde boy only rose his hand. He nodded over at Josh. Josh felt like he should nod back, thus he did so.
"Have a seat, please" Tyler offered. Debby sat between Tyler and Ashley, while Josh stood staring. He didn't want to be anywhere near either of the two girls, but he had to sit quick before he seems suspicious. He just took a seat between Pete and Melanie; trying to sit as closer to Pete as possible.
"So, welcome to our school, Tyler" Debby said firstly, smiling widely at Tyler.
"Thank you" Tyler giggled, blushing a little "I really like it"
"Not suggesting anything" Debby chuckled, being as awkward as ever; but that was just how she is "But, are you single?"
Everybody at the table laughed; except of Josh who was shaking his head with a cringe. Tyler smiled innocently at Debby "Nah, I'm still waiting for my Prince Charming"
Debby's eyes popped only a slight little "Oh, you're-"
"Yeah, Tyler's one very gay creature" Pete smirked at Tyler. Tyler then took a pea off his plate and threw it into Pete's face while laughing.
"Wait, what?" Josh's voice made everybody stop laughing.
"Oh, no Josh, please not this" Debby placed her face into her hands, whispering to herself.
"What?" Tyler tilted his head to the side only slightly, still smiling at Josh.
"He just said you're, erm" Josh frowned, bitting his lip.
"Gay" Tyler finished the sentence for him "I'm gay"
"Y- You're what?"
"I'm gay"
"But that's so wrong! You can't be gay! That's disgusting- I know! I'll teach you how to be straight!"
Ashley and Pete burst out laughing, slapping their knees and not believing the words they just heard. Melanie was laughing softer, along with Tyler. Debby looked at all of them confused, but then laughed along. She was really worried they'd get offended and make Josh and her leave, but luckily they had a sense of humor.
"What's so funny?" Josh's brows furrowed.
"Oh my God" Pete stopped laughing, still red in the face "He's not even joking" he then proceeded to laugh, along with others.
"You're kidding, right?" Tyler asked hopefully. He was offended by the fact Josh called him 'disgusting', but other than that Josh seemed silly which made him funny.
"Of course not" Josh shook his head firmly, only making Ashley and Pete laugh louder; they were starting to draw attention from the rest of the cafeteria "You're just- You- You're wrong, y'know? You can't be gay. That's just disgusting and unnatural"
"For your information" Melanie defended, narrowing her eyes at Josh "Tyler has feelings too"
"I know he does"
"Why do you keep on hurting them then?" Melanie took a pea off Tyler's plate and tried throwing it at Josh's face but failing. She cursed under her breath at her failure.
"It's okay, Mel" Tyler assured, giving Melanie a thankful smile. He turned his gaze to Josh, sighing quietly "I really thought people like you were extinct"
Debby laughed louder at that statement.
"I can try to fix you" Josh offered, in a kind voice. The laughs quieted down, awaiting Tyler's response.
"Sure" Tyler chuckled "Try all you want"
