Quite a few months passed. Tyler started avoiding Josh for some reason, but that didn't stop Josh from fantasizing. He was okay with calling himself gay at this point, but he was hiding it well from his parents. He was pretty sure they weren't even suspicious. And he started being much better friends with Debby.

Debby didn't end up kicking Tyler in the balls, by the way. She just didn't want to see him at all. She was just so pissed. She decided she wasn't going to tell Josh anything; Tyler and Josh weren't hanging out anyways.

One day, Josh was standing by his locker, revising for his English exam. He sighed, thinking about Tyler rather than English.

Debby told him to focus on school, but he didn't really listen to her. He finally felt happy. He'd feel happier if he were with Tyler, but this was awesome enough. Before, he was just pretty... sterile? Nah, that's not the word. He was close-minded and actually rude. He understood that now. And he was sorry.

But then, there he was. Tyler. And Josh just melted. He accidentally dropped his books, making a noise and making Tyler turn toward him.

Josh swore under his breath, picking his books up and shoving them into his locker. He then realized Tyler was approaching him with a smirk. He spun quickly on his heel, shutting his locker at the same time.

When he was looking directly at Tyler, he saw Tyler was not alone.

There was a blonde girl walking by his side. Josh recognized her as a school cheerleader.

That's cool, Josh has Debby as a friend and Tyler has this girl.

B- But Josh doesn't hold hands with Debby.

Although, he has seen best friends holding hands. It was completely normal. And Tyler's gay anyways, why is he getting paranoid? He was being real silly.

"Hey, Josh" Tyler greeted, stopping right in front of Josh and not letting go of the blonde's hand.

"Hi, Tyler!" Josh replied, smiling and bitting his lip. Politely, he turned to the girl and asked "What's your name?"

"Jenna" the girl answered with a wink, making Tyler laugh a little.

"I'm Josh" Josh said pretty casually.

"Yeah, I've heard" Jenna chuckled.

Okay, that makes sense. If she's Tyler's best friend, of course he'd tell her about Josh. Josh did actually offend him when they first met, of course he'd complain to his best friend.

"How are you, Tyler?" Josh questioned. That smirk of Tyler's was pretty weird. Could it mean Tyler likes Josh? That's what people do when they're interested in somebody, right? Well, Josh wouldn't smirk at anyone, because he's not really that confident. Maybe Tyler was the smirking kind of person.

"Awesome, how about you?" Tyler replied.

"G- Good, yeah, pretty good" Josh said, smiling awkwardly.

"Oh, let me introduce you fully" Tyler proposed, confusing Josh. He glanced at Jenna "Jenna is my girlfriend"

Josh's jaw dropped in shock "What? But you're-"

"Oh, I figured Debby already told you" Tyler laughed. Debby? Debby knew about this? And she didn't tell him? What was going on?

Josh's heart started beating faster, confusion and shock mixing in his chest making him feel the worst feeling he ever felt.

"Okay, listen to me" Tyler began, letting go of Jenna's hand to make random hand gestures with both hands "Long story short - I'm not gay. It was a joke between Pete and me. You were homophobic, so I decided to teach you a lesson"

Josh felt his heart breaking "B- But I've changed, I understand n- now"

"Yeah" Tyler spat "Because of me"

"P- Partially" Josh stammered, looking down at the ground.

"No, Josh" Tyler picked Josh's chin up with his fingers "If it weren't for me, you'd still be a disgusting homophobe. Now, you're just a respecting straight person who won't insult innocent people"

"Tyler, I-"

"What?"

"I'm gay" Josh let out. His bottom lip was shaking and he could feel himself being on the verge of tears.

Tyler started laughing loudly and Jenna followed along when hearing him "Oh my God, this is amazing"

Now, they were laughing at him. Debby had hidden the fact Tyler was tricking him. Josh felt like he was becoming good friends with Pete, but Pete knew too. Everybody was trying to trick Josh.

But it wasn't Josh's fault. His parents taught him the homophobic ways. He just needed a little push and he'd understand; both the world and himself. He now knew who he was, but his life was fast falling apart. No matter how dramatic might seem.

"Why would you do this to me?" Josh realized he was crying when his voice cracked "To anyone?"

"I've have a bad history with homophobes" Tyler simply and maybe a little darkly answered. He then stared at Josh for a short while before taking Jenna's hand and waving Josh a goodbye.

Josh was left there to cry, unsure of how he's going to ever get over losing not only the possibility of being with the love of his life, but also losing all of his friends. He only had Patrick left. Other than him, Josh was alone.
