Second Year: Part 4

It was March 6. Rose was with Molly, Dominuque and Roxy. The cousins she liked the best.

While starring out the window of Molly's room she heard Roxy's slightly squeaky voice.

-Earth calling to Rosie. 1, 2, 3, testing, testing. Someone there?

Rose turned around smiling.

-Yes maiden?

Dominique tossed her a pillow to get her attencion.

-What's up with you?

-What do you mean what's up with me?

Dom rolled her eyes.

-Come on Rose, you've been so distracted lately. Normally you'd be with a book or talking to us, not staring out the window to God knows what.

Rosie tilted her head and got of the desk.

-So, I'm distracted. It's no big deal.

Molly started laughing.

-That's like saying Uncle Harry deafiting Lord Voldemort was no biggie.

-Spill.

Said Dom.

-Spill what?

-Who's taking up your mind?

Rose left her head drop backwards and left out a sigh.

-No one is taking up my mind Dom. I'm just, worried about the exams. That's it.

-You know what? -said Dominique with a smirk- I'm even going to pretend I believe you.

-I'm serious!!!

Molly shruged.

-If you say so. Now, it's not that you're the one going crazy for a guy. It's that Dom doesn't wanna say who she's into.

Now Rose smirked.

-Ha, sure thing Ms. Wood.

-At least I'm not the one who wears crop-tops to anoy her parents.

-At least I'm not the one who's crush likes her twi...

Rose had trown a pillow at Dom but by the look on Molly's face she knew she'd heard it.

-What?

Dom's jaw was wide open. Clearly she'd slipped up.

-Molls...

Molly ran out of the room.

-Dominique!!!

-I'm sorry!!! It just escaped my mouth!!!

Rosie hurried down the steps and opened the Fat Lady's painting just to be stopped on her tracks by Scorpius.

-Hey Rose!!!

-Hey, did you see Molly?

-She ran that way.

He said while pointing to his left.

-Thanks Scorp...

-Wait!!!

Rose turned around, she then noticed that Scorpius was holding a cute cat plushie and a single gardenia flower.

-I know you don't like roses, which is quite irronic, so...

He held out the gardenia.

-Happy Birthday Rosie.

Rose took the gardenia and tucked it behind her right ear before taking the plush toy.

Rose could feel her cheeks getting warm for some reason, but why?

This was just one best friend congratulating another best friend. Wasn't it?

-Thanks Scorp.

She stood a tiny bit on her toes and kissed his cheek.

His cheeks immediatly turned a bright pink color as he smiled a little.

Rose went on after Molly.

Scorpius started to walk the other way.

-No.

Scorpius turned around to see Albus.

-No what?

Albus shook his head.

-You can't fall in love with her.

-I'm not, falling in love with her. Why would you think that?

Albus frowned.

-Are you sure?

-As sure as my surname is Malfoy.

Albus nodded once as he walked towards him.

-Okay.

Behind a column Julie Jordan smiled, just when she though Hogwarts drama couldn't get any better.

She'd have to keep it to herself though.

But it didn't bother her.

Not at all.
