summary:
Dorcas Meadowes had always scorned the idea of love at first sight. Love itself was founded upon knowledge about the person; it could not burst into existence like a firework.

All that changed the first time she saw Juliet Dearborn.

With long golden hair that possessed an elegance that Dorcas' own wild curls could never match, it was easy to say that the girl was breathtaking. Juliet's full-moon hazel eyes saw so much, except for the most obvious thing of all: the crush Dorcas had on her.

review:

I was so excited to read how you wrote my plot! And so far, it's amazing!

Seeing that we don't know a lot about Dorcas, it's hard to say if she's portrayed "correctly", but I think you're doing a fantastic job of writing her character. Your interpretation of Dorcas is exactly how I imagined her to be! She's smart and talented and kind, yet totally infatuated by Juliet (all of Dorcas and Juliet's interactions made me so happy!).

Dorcas is a wonderful character, and you did a great job of balancing everything out. She gets angry with her friends sometimes, yet she's usually very kind and supporting towards them (like most friends are). She's talented, especially in Charms, but she never brags about it. She's willing to help Juliet with Potions for reasons other than her crush on her. Dorcas isn't perfect, but she has plenty of strengths. So far, I'd rate Dorcas Meadowes character portrayal 10/10!

And all of the characters are so well-developed. Each one has his or her own story, including Juliet. Sometimes in fanfictions, the author is so focused on getting the reader to understand how amazing the love interest is that they forget they're still a character. But Juliet has depth, much like the rest of the characters. Silver and Maeve have their own stories that aren't just because of Dorcas. (also, I would be very interested in having a companion book about Benjy. I have so many questions about him and Silver!)

Your writing style is beautiful! Everything really flows together without any choppy, broken moments that are common in writing. The actions don't take away from the descriptions, and vice versa. The book is truly well done, and I'm very excited to see what will happen next!

I hope that this review was helpful! Happy writing!
