Chapter 42

Third Person's POV

Everyone is busy and on their own places and getting ready for the prom night. Girls put on their makeup and making sure they have the best dress/gown wearing that match the night to steal the spot. On the other hand, boys put their best perfume and style their hair but all of them wear the same black tuxedo. They just differ on some preferring to wear a necktie or bowtie.

The schedule of the prom was 8:00pm but supposedly the student were expected to come by at 7:00pm-7:30pm so by 8:00pm the schedule will start with only a few students coming.

Around 7:10pm when Tyler is already done and excited to get Craig so they could go to prom together. He look in the mirror to see himself wearing a midnight black tuxedo which contrast his skin color but perfectly match him along with a red necktie and a white rose placed on the chest pocket of the coat. Satisfied by his look, he get his car keys and get out of his room when his phone buzz continuously on his pocket. He pull it out and look at the caller.

Craig <3 calling...

He could feel himself smile and answer the call immediately.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ty! I just want to tell you that you don't have to pick me up. I'll just go by myself to school."

His smile fell and turn into confusion.

"What? Why?"

"I have a surprise but you'll have to wait and see. IF you recognize u- I mean me." Craig answered and Tyler started to feel interested by the surprise. He just sigh and agree.

"Alright. Fine. Just be there on time okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah. Got to go. Bye!"

The call ended and Tyler started to wonder what that surprise was. What could it be? He called the others to see if they're ready to go. All of them said they were done and excited except to a certain person. He knows why that person just decided to come because all of them were coming and don't want to miss Senior Prom with them. Tyler started to drive towards the school and saw students park their own cars and getting inside the stadium the prom will be held at and he started to search for his other friends that were already there.

He finally saw Marcel and Brock sitting together on the farther table on a corner. He walk towards their direction and greeted them.

"Hey guys." The two said their greetings back accompany with some questions.

"Where's your date Marcel?" He asked. Marcel stomp his feet and cross his arms.

"Simone ditched me and prefer to date another guy who she said she found more appealing than me." Marcel answered and look away. Tyler just shut his mouth and decided to not ask more to not raged the man.

"Well where's Craig though? I thought he was your date?" Brock asked while Tyler sit beside him. They know that Brock never asked someone to be their date, it was actually the way around but he will kindly rejected them since he said he only want to date the person he truly love which 'he said' he hasn't find yet. Tyler sigh and ran his hand to his gelled hair.

"Yeah but he said I don't have to pick him up because he has a surprise for me so I have to wait." He answered while looking through the crowds if ever Craig had arrive. He would also constantly check his phone to see if he called or texted him but there's none. Around 7:40pm when the number to their group increases and Luke, Ryan and Lui came. Surprisingly, David wasn't with Lui this time and Craig was still nowhere to be seen.

"Where's David?" Brock asked the squeeker who sit beside Marcel.

"He said he can't pick me up and has other things to do." The sadness in his voice was noticeable. The others feel it and feel sorry.
