It would take a very long time before NaLu would happened after the end of the manga. The first person/dragon he loved with his whole heart 'left' him in the middle of nowhere, not to be found anywhere until the Tartaros arc, and even then Igneel dies. . .And then we have Lisanna, who was his 'first love' and then 'died' and left him behind. Natsu would disguise his despair and loneliness behind his happy-go-lucky façade.
He would be reluctant to give his heart to someone again, but Lucy doesn't give up, and soon he does. Little by little.
