Chapter 7: My New Cousin

Kaito's POV

I was having a very enjoyable sleep until a certain someone, I know all too well had to come shouting

"KAITO! GOOD... MORN... ING!!!" it was Aoko waking me up in the morning again. Why did my mom ask her to get me up in the mornings, ugh! I looked up from my pillow and it was 8:30, '6 hours and 30 Minutes of sleep, I guess that's good enough.'

"BAKAITO!!! GET UP ALREADY! BREAKFEST!" I ignored her for another 5 minutes "Fine! I'm coming over, you better be up and ready!" I laid there on my bed not so worried about it, until last nights events came back to me

"Kaitlyn!" I got out of bed and was going to head over to the room I left her in, until I heard knocking at the door

"KAITO! OPEN UP!" 'Damn! Aoko got here fast,' I went over to the door and opened it.

"Hey... Aoko" I said annoyingly like I always did, using my poker face

"KAITO, come on breakfast is the most important meal of the day." She started lecturing me, and I back off as she moved into my house with an angry face and pointing her index finger at me.

"Ok, ok Aoko, just quiet down you'll wake up the neighbours" 'Or Kaitlyn to be exact'

"Look at you! did you sleep in your clothes, what were you doing last night?" she said in an angry, mother like voice

"I... its none of your business." She kept staring at me with her pretty blue eyes and a pouted face, 'damn she's cute, but no way was I going to tell her. Thank you, Dad, for teaching me about your Poker Face, or I would be red right now.' But suddenly, I realized, we were in front of the room Kaitlyn was in, because the door opened revealing her.

She was rubbing her eyes when she opened the door, once she looked, she stared right at us and we did the same "Um? Hi there" she said with her hand up.

"Kaito, who's that?" Aoko asked with a questioning look

'Crap! Got to come up with something, Um? Got it!' I looked at Aoko and said "Okay, fine, last night I went over to the air port to pick up my cousin" I looked to Kaitlyn with a face saying, 'go with it' and introduced her to Aoko "This is my cousin Kaitlyn Greig."

"Oh, sorry I never introduced myself before, my names Aoko Nakamori, it nice to meet you." Aoko shook her hand and smiled "But Kaito, I never knew you had a cousin?"

"She's a distant relative from ugh?"

"From New Zealand" answered Kaitlyn

"New Zealand? Ohh, that small island country" said Aoko

"Yup!" Kaitlyn replied

"Isn't that faraway... Wow! You must have been traveling for a long time. Hey! You want to come and have breakfast with us." Aoko asked politely

"Sure" was Kaitlyn's reply

"But first I think we should have a shower." I intervened

"Alright! I'll see the both of you soon then, make it quick, breakfast is going to get cold." And then she left, leaving me and my now new cousin

"Okay... she was nice, I see why you like her, she's cool!" Kaitlyn said out of nowhere

"What! What made you say that, she's just my friend" I said defensively

"Mate, I know a lie when I see one and you just confirmed it for me, you like her." My face started to heat up and she smirked

"C... come on already, if we take too long Aoko will get mad and bring her mop." I said trying to change the subject

"Mop?"

"You take a shower first, and I will find some old clothes of mine for you to wear." I directed her to where the shower was

"Alrighty then, Cuz" she said as she turned around with a teasing smirk, plastered on her face.
