On the December 15 broadcast of Mnet's 'Wanna One Go: Zero Base', Lee Dae Hwi shared that he wants to visit the town in Japan where he used to live. The producers granted his wish, and Lee Dae Hwi was able to travel to Japan with fellow members Hwang Min Hyun and Ha Sung Woon.

Upon arrival, the 3 members went to a flower store to buy flowers then headed to the grave of Lee Dae Hwi's father.

Lee Dae Hwi was unable to hold back tears as he said to his father, "I'm not sure if you're listening but I missed you so much. To be honest, I was really upset with you. All of my friends have a dad but I was the only one without one. I was teased a lot, too."

He continued, "I'm so glad to be here... I'm here after making my debut. If you were alive, you could see me singing and dancing but I'm so sorry that you can't." He then gifted the flowers along with Wanna One's autographed album.

Lee Dae Hwi also expressed appreciation to fellow members for coming with him
