Chapter 1~Goodbye. Hello
Ruth's POV
Goodbye for now mother,
I must go
To the city for a job
Because poverty is my foe.I read in the paper
That there is an opening space
For An unqualified maid,
No education need to be in place
Though I can read and write
And do simple math
And I'm great at my chores
No one can top that. But mother,
I will make ends meet
For you and my four siblings.
For father has left for India
And as yet to return.I was just a babe
When that had occur.
You were pregnant
with Quadruplets
Oh! my four younger siblings
Don't deserve such a poor life.
Your heart don't deserve to ache
Your not suppose to cry.I will send my pay cheque weekly
Then you can move to the city
I will make us rich
I will shower you in gold
You deserve no less
Not even silver
But gold.So I say goodbye
I'll see you in a month
Don't you cry
You'll be in the city
Within a month.I love you Ma,
You are strong.
Please keep it up till I return
Goodbye for now Ma.Until I am able to say,
Hello,
