I was cleaning the China,
When it happened.
Mistress' yelling her throat out,
At a human Barbie lady.
If I hadn't listen carefully
I would think that she was crazy
"I need you to stay far from him!
I need you to not make him sin.
And don't bullshit me,
He's my dog
And I, his bone.
He's mine and mine alone
Do you see this ring?
For if again, you lay an eye on him,
I will make your light go dim."
In her hand she held a pot
And sailed it at the thot.
That had on no clothes
The other workers
Stopped and stared
Some comforted mistress
While others didn't care.
The thot had ran away,
The husband, nowhere to be seen.
And in the middle of the hall
Laid a broken queen.
She looked at me
With demon eyes
And said,
"Bitch, make sure you don't take my man or I'll let you pay the price!"
I placed my black hair in a bun
And pulled down my short dress
I never wore makeup,
For my face don't need that mess.
I let my silver gray eyes meet hers,
And pointed my straight nose
"I came here on a mission
You must not know, I suppose.
I wish to work for money
To wash, to cook, to clean.
For where I came from
I wasn't raised as a queen.
Yes I am poor
But I'm not a whore
I'm not a family wrecker
Or wish to be the other woman.
So rid yourself of those thoughts
For you don't know me."
She smiled a smile
I couldn't tell if it was fake.
In her cold palms,
My hand she take.
"You know what? I believe you.
Stick to your role
Do not be a hoe
And don't try to find
The hidden secrets of this house
You will stay as quiet at a mouse!"
