I sat on a cliff looking down on grazing herbivores. I yawned slowly growing tired since I was bored out of my mind. Vulture never lets me hunt since he says I'm too important and weak.

I sighed and closed my eyes while shuffling to where I was laying in the soft grass comfortably while the gental warm breeze ruffled my feathers and the smell of flowers wafting into my nostrils since it was the middle of spring. I hummed and thought of home. Of Orchard. I knew I would have to avenge her father someday and someday soon.

I heard a footstep behind me.

I thought it was Vulture so I turned my head. Before I could turn it fully something hit my head making everything go blurry then black as I collapsed on the ground. I didn't hear much since my ears were ringing but I heard gunshots and a terror shriek. I felt myself be picked up and hugged. I felt water hit my back. Is it raining? I  thought. No those felt like tears.

The figure picked me up and started walking. I felt tired but no pain. It wouldn't be a problem if I just took a nap. I don't think Vulture would mind.....
