Jace and Vasco had gotten up relatively early to work out before heading to Y/N's house. Vasco had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep. It seemed he was so excited about the dog, he couldn't sleep.

The two then made their way to the Hgt girls house as Vasco held the dog treats he bought close to him. "Wait... Is this the right place?", Jace sounded out, incredibly confused as the two stood in front of a large dojo. The large eared man looked at his phone before looking back at the intimidating building.

The two approached the door before knocking and waiting. The door soon slammed open as the two came face to face with an aggressive looking woman. "What do you want?", the woman asked suddenly, she looked to be related to Y/N.

At first the two said nothing, feeling incredibly thrown off by the woman's attitude. The woman, however, looked them up and down with a scrutinizing gaze as she eyed their tattoos and large stature. "If you're here to cause trouble you'd better believe I'll be sending you two out in body bags", the woman narrowed her eyes in challenge.

"W-what?! N-no", Jace shook his head furiously at the accusation and threat. "Aunt Mina? Who are you yelling at this time?", Y/N asked, approaching the group. "These two punks just showed up out of nowhere", the woman gestured to the two.

"Aunt Mina... They're here to help me build Buddy's house", the B/T girl deadpanned as the woman looked surprised. "THEY'RE the classmates??", the woman asked gesturing to the two guys still stood outside the door. Y/N nodded in confirmation as the two at the door looked confused. "How old are you two?", the woman directed at them.

"Seventeen, ma'am", Jace answered, trying to sound respectful. "Huh... Well, all right then... Have fun I guess", the woman said, allowing the two to pass the threshold. "The back yard is straight down the hall", Y/N directed as the two nodded, quietly making their way there.

"So... What did you think?", Y/N suddenly asked, hoping her aunt would approve of her friends. "Well they're not what I expected. But they were respectful and nice... Tough and handsome", the woman nodded as she held her chin.

"W-what?!", the Hgt girl practically shouted at the woman's words. "Well you are growing up, I'm not surprised you've developed an interest in boys, and handsome ones at that. They look manly, I approve", Mina said, giving the girl a thumbs up. "W-wait, that's not... They're not-", the girl stuttered as the woman began pushing her toward the backyard.

"You go and have fun. You're dear old aunt won't interrupt except for snack time... But don't have too much fun", Mina winked before leaving the girl alone. "What's up?", Jace asked as Vasco seemed to be bouncing on his heels. "Nothing!", the girl shouted, earning curious looks from the two.

"... Uh, nothing. Let's just go to the backyard", the H/Clr haired girl guided the two out to the backyard. Buddy then rushed in out of nowhere taking down Vasco. The large man laughed as the retriever began licking his face, tail wagging happily.

"He has a sixth sense for treats", the B/T girl laughed as she pulled the dog off of Vasco. The tattooed man seemed to stare at the dog before tilting his head curiously at Buddy's missing hind leg. "Yeah. He lost his leg a long time ago when he was a pup", Y/N explained, catching on easily.

"I found him after a car had ran him over and kept driving", the H/Clr haired girl explained petting the dog behind his ears. Vasco seemed to look sad at hearing the news that someone could do something so terrible to a dog. "Don't worry. He may only have three legs but he's as happy and healthy as any dog. He doesn't seem to miss it, so I stopped letting it bother me after a while", the girl explained simply.

The three then began constructing Buddy's house and Jace gawked at the blueprints. "Isn't this a bit much for a dog house?", the large eared man inquired. "Only the best for Bud", she said as she glanced at the dog happily recieving treats from Vasco who in turn looked like a kid in a candy store.

"He's always wanted a dog but his mom never let him have one", Jace explained as the two watched the man play with the dog. "I'm sure he'd be good with dogs... Obviously", she smiled as Jace nodded. The three continued building as Buddy supervised construction.

A few hours later aunt Mina opened the back door and brought out a tray. "All right kids it's snack ti-, what is that monstrosity?!", the woman yelled. Buddy's house was nearly finished with all the help everyone offered. "It's a dog house", the Hgt girl deadpanned.

"No! That is a miniature person's house! It's worse than the one you built back in C/O/O!", the woman shouted. "That's what you get for selling it!", the girl retorted, pointing a hammer at the fuming woman. The two men found the exchange between them rather amusing.

Soon enough the day came to an end and Jace and Vasco had to go home. "Thanks for helping me guys", Y/N thanked the two for their help. "No worries. That's what friends do", Jace said with a thumbs up. "R-really?! We're friends?", the H/Clr haired girl asked excitedly.

"Of course", the large eared man said as Vasco nodded in agreement. "All right, I'll show you guys a picture of the finished product at school", the girl said waving as the two walked away. The two began walking back home in good spirits.

"Y/N really is a nice person isn't she?", Jace mused aloud. "She's a good guy", Vasco nodded his head in agreement at his friend's observation. "But she's not a guy... She's a girl... And a cute one at that", the large eared man said as he thought back to her smile.

That comment made Vasco feel a bit annoyed at Jace... That was weird, Jace never made him annoyed. It went away pretty quick... Maybe he was getting sick?

[A/N: *whispers* Love sick! *cough cough*]
