It was the morning of your birthday, you rolled over in bed expecting to be greeted by your boyfriend but when you turned over he was no where to be found. Instead there was a pink note on his pillow,
'Y/N, Happy Birthday! There's been something ok my mind that I wanted to ask you, but I can't ask you quite just yet. Get ready for a special day. Love, Aaron'
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, 'what is this boy up to now?' you thought as you climbed out of bed.
After you got ready for the day, you grabbed your phone on the night stand and walked downstairs. On the kitchen table was your favorite breakfast, eggs Benedict and another note. It said...
'Made you your favorite breakfast, only the best for my girl. Eat well, you're going to need a full stomach for today. There will be a driver coming to get you at 9:30. I love you.'
You giggled as you put the note down. The food was still hot, Aaron must have just made this. You finished eating just in time to hear a ring at the doorbell. Running towards the door you expected to see Aaron but you were greeted by a chauffeur instead.
"Ms Y/LN, my name is Leon. I will be your driver today." He lead you outside to he greeted by a limousine, 'what's Aaron up to?' you thought yet again.
Once in the limo you saw another note on the seat...
'You can't go on a scavenger hunt without a limo. Your driver will take you wherever you need to go. Your text clue is waiting for you at 12078 Present Drive'
The clue lead you to nail salon, there you were handed another clue...
'A birthday girl needs a pampering once in a while:) Your next clue will be given when you are done'
Aaron always liked when you painted your nails pink so that's what you went with.
Your next clue read...
'Remember where we first kissed? Your next clue is waiting there'
You hopped in the limo and told Leon to drive you to a small park. You smiled thinking of the first time you and Aaron kissed, the two of you were watching the sunset. As cliché as it was, people would tell you it's the best first kiss story they've heard.
Arriving to the park you saw your best friend Karah. You ran up to hug her, "Aaron told me to give you this, he also told me to come with you."
The note said...
'Because of my constant traveling around to play, we definitely do not have a typical dating schedule. In fact our first date was actually after we officially started dating. Your next clue is waiting there.'
You and Karah made your way to the small restaurant just outside of town. When you got there you saw that your friend Olivia was waiting for you too. The three of you had lunch together while you begged with them to tell you what this all about. But neither of them could tell you instead Olivia handed you another note.
'You're next clue is waiting for you at your favorite boutique just across the street. While you're there get whatever you desire... You can also go to whatever store you would like. Just remember to get a dress and shoes to go with it for tonight. This is all my treat.'
You smiled and made your way over to the boutique. Karah and Olivia helped you pick some dresses. You tried in a few but you weren't really you put another dress expecting to be disappointed but when you looked into the mirror you loved it. Walking out of the changing room you heard Karah say, "I love it!"
"Yes that's the one!" Olivia added
You guys a few other things including the perfect pair of shoes to match your dress and then we got back in the limo. Sitting on the seat was another clue.
"Now you will be heading to Karah's house. There will be a hair and make up artist for waiting for you. I love you"
Once at Karah's house you saw that your mom was was waiting for you at the door. You ran up to her and have her the biggest hug, "happy birthday sweetie!" she said to you as you guy headed inside.
After all you guys got all dolled up, you headed to the lawn to take pictures. You thought this was where Aaron might be, until you were handed another note.
'Your last clue is waiting for you back at our house. Can't wait to see you'
The group all jumped back into the limo for a short ride back to yours and Aaron's house.
It was now eight o'clock and it was starting to get dark as the sun went down. Pulling up to the house nothing seemed unusual. When you walked toward the front door you saw that your dad was standing there with another note in his hand.
'It's now time for me to ask you that special question. Head to the backyard, but first put a blindfold on'
You laughed as you dad lead you to the backyard. Once there he untied the blindfold to reveal a candlelit backyard. It was beautiful, there were chandeliers hanging from trees and in the middle of it there stood Aaron. He was wearing a sports coat and nice matching slacks. When he saw you a huge grin lit up on his face.
"What's this all about?" you asked.
"I have something to ask you, but I had to make it special" he said taking your hands in his.
"Okay...what is it?" you questioned, a bit nervous to hear the answer.
"Y/N, from the day I met you I knew you where something special. I love everything about you, the way you sing like no one is listening, the way you laugh... I could go on forever. I think you're an amazing girl and I don't know what I did to deserve you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you..." he got down on one knee and reached in his pocket revealing a beautiful ring, "will you marry me?"
You nodded, "yes!"
He back up on his feet and slipped the ring on your finger and pressing a kiss on your lips.
You grinned, "This is some birthday present."
You and Aaron spent a couple minutes alone outside before he said, "I wanna show you something," he took you hand and lead you back inside.
"Happy Birthday!" you heard a chorus of people say.
"I wanted to throw you a birthday party too," Aaron said.
You couldn't believe Aaron went through all this trouble just for you. As you looked around you saw your family and friends, along with Aaron's parents and teammates. This really was a special birthday present.
